Hi this is the Daily Thread for Wednesday the 14th of March. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Just a quick one before work.

The usual day here today, a clean through after work, the fishtank needs sorting out too. There is a new pile of sewing to sort out as well, pretty boring really, but boring is good - it means no problems!!!!:D

Good morning smokybabe and all to follow,

not much to tell this morning...
off to work at 8am, need to go to Boots after work and the bank, then if the sun is shining i might do a bit of weeding.

Didnt go to weight watchers last night, it would have given me the "hump " to be told that i had put on weight yet again, plus i need to start to tighten the money belt, so it seems that £5 each week is a lot to pay out when there are more important things to buy.

Morning all. Work in a minute or two. It was certainly a nice evening last night. I managed to cut and chop a load of logs which was much more beneficial than watching TV. Although I did burn some of the logs and watch TV later on. I hope it stays like this for a while as I need to get the garden dug over some.
Took an exam yesterday, it will be a miracle if I pass, as I never studied at all.....
Hey ho. Well hope you all have a nice day. PAY DAY tomorrow:D

At work, where my voice is fading fast!!! Not good when I rely on it to do my job

Just eating a muller rice for breakfast, whilst I go through my emails - mostly spam. Work's filter's not good at all

Going for a coffee with a friend after work, then off to find a dress for a ball I'm going to next week.

AMIE399, save your cash, and DIY,my daughter did, as she has most of the books and paraphanalie from WW anyway.That fiver can buy you a good deal more than being weighed in on somewhat dubious scales .My eldest DD shares with a friend every monday night their own private weigh-in on one specific pair of scales, and they have managed very well to stick to their diets.
Morning smokeybabe ,you have the right idea ,boring is good as it means no major traumas.
Me, I have woken up with a grotty throat, and a nose that is running faster than the Thames .I knew I should have kept my coat on when I nipped to the shops yesterday. I hate having a cold, and I know I shall get very grumpy if it doesnt go quickly.
Today, I have my SIL from Faversham coming to visit with photo's of Tilly Grace her little grandaughter, who was born in November weighing in at 2lbs12 ozs. She is now a bouncing 7lb 4ozs and apparently growing like a weed. We all had a worrying time with her, but thank goodness she seems to be over the worst of it . She had her first journey from Didcot where she lives, to her Grannies house in Faversham last week-end, so I am really looking forward to seeing the pictures.
Then I have to pick up my grandaughter Katie from school at 3.15 as although she has the cast off her foot she mustn't walk too much on it yet ,she has to build up the muscle in her ankle after being in plaster for five weeks .
I am having dinner at my youngest DD's tonight as we are going on a 'ghost-walk' at Chatham dockyard .She is observing the guide there, as she is starting as a visitor-guide in September. She has always been interested in history, and the opportunity came up to apply for a part-time job there. I am going along to keep her company. Chatham Docks is a local Heritage centre that hosts lots of different events throughout the year and the 'ghost-walk ' is just one of them. Hope I don't see any spooks though .
Well that's my lot for the moment , I am just off to dose myself up with Daynurse in the hope that my cold will dry up a bit .<<<hugs>>> to those in need ,Take care everyone and have a good day.

if you watch.. its an underwater webcam in shamus tank... he has two tanks so you might have to try again later, and sometimes it takes a few mins for him to swim into sight.. but its so good !!! dont forget Florida is 5 hours behind us, they have 3 shamu shows a day so you might be lucky enough to view the camera when a show is on, then you get to see a diver in with him. i think the first show of the day is about 12.30 there which is about 5.30pm here... have a look then tell me what you think !!!

Morning all!

just a quickie for me before DS1 has to catch his bus to work.

Finished stripping the lounge and will be papering today.

Am aching all over from yesterdays hard work!;)

foggy here at the moment but looks good for later, fingers crossed.

Did a play using signalong last night - was a hoot!:D

Morning all.

Looks like another lovely sunny day today.

I am helping talk year 4 swimming today. I really enjoy it and it gets me out of the house.

I also need to do a bit of shopping so i will do that after i get back.

Goals for today are to put a few bits on freecycle and to do 2 loads of washing.

I also need to fit in going to the gym.

morning all been up since 3.30 have a 4 hour interview today then i have to go to stansted to pick up my mum
well more bad news from OH family yesterday the friend of his mums has told us that she came and let us know about the will because she thought what they were doing was wrong and also the letter that Oh wrote they thought was rude vile twin asked him to write it and they are now going to make him wait more than the 28 days that he said they should reply in so now i think we should wait for a copy of the will which willl hopefuly be here by early next week and see a soliciter she also said it is not his mum but the aunt doing the stirring which we knew anyway and she said that the mother didnt like OH as he reminded her of her ex husband in his ways i am still struggling to get my head round that one that a mother can feel lke that

Just lost a big post!! So small version this time!!
Hope everyone is ok.Thanks amiee for the web cam link, i will be checking that out later.
Been up alot of the night with dd she has a temp and earache, so not got much planned today, may iron if she falls to sleep later.
Chicken dinner for tea and want to prepare meatballs for tommorow.
My best friend went to watch Westlife in concert last night so expecting a phone call from her with full run down of her night, she is going again tonight too, and still trys to tell me its for her dd sake!! Yer right !!LOL.
