I'll be honest, years ago we didnt like what we saw next door and liked even less their huge dog so we just planted conifer trees and where we couldnt grow conifers we put 6ft fences up.
No problem. No unpleasantness (though the dog has long gone along with the wife). This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Here's some contructive advice. Advise your friend to move next door to DylanO.
I get the impression the OP thinks her friend has suffered enough already. All moving next door to DylanO would achieve is having a dose of her own medicine. She would soon understand how it feels to have your every move watched and judged. Gawd forbid she really stepped out of line and ended up facing the 'wrath of the community'.
What has happened to society that neighbours cant just show some tolerance and common sense Grammar: The difference between knowing your !!!!!! and knowing you're !!!!!! :cool:0 Grammar: The difference between knowing your !!!!!! and knowing you're !!!!!! :cool:0

I'd threaten it. I'd probably go through with it too, but it would be entirely unnecessary around here because if anyone dared do something like that they'd soon suffer the wrath of the community.
Please can I live where you live?
Just so I can do something like this and laugh hysterically at the 'wrath of the community'.
OP. if its his house, he likes it, obviously. Your friend doesn't, but since it's not his house it's not his concern. Is it a Heath risk? Risk of infection? Infestation etc? Is it a crime? No, so just leave him alone.
How about stopping worrying, letting him live his life how he wants and getting on with your own.Sigless0

Normally you do the 'my "friend's" got a problem' when it's something anti-social like herpes. It's a bit weird to pretend your "friend's" got an eccentric neighbour, isn't it? Unless you know you're being totally unreasonable.... OP - I think your friend needs to concentrate more on their own property than harping over a neighbours taste.
As the neighbour is not breaking any laws, there is little your friend can do about it but to get over it.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

I used to live in a village where the local eccentric had loads of signs on his gate .....he lived quite a way out and his place was a mess, but it was a kind of endearing mess as noone had to live near it. It used to get me cross when some people used to try and bully him in to taking signs down etc,
He ha since died, the place is spotless and the old house pulled down and one more than twice the size there. I think its hideous but others seem much happier.
I also like the frot gardens of people with crazy battilions of garden gnomes and statues, its so funny and harmless.
I think its relevant what the pictures are of. If its pornographic for example, i can quite see the fuss.0
