Neighbours House Covered in Tat!

Thanks for that pearl123. I'm glad you find it amusing. I can only imagine where you live! It's not the fish tanks that are the problem it's the fact he's slowly but surely covering the front elevation of the house is ridiculous pictures, and personally I don't see why the neighbours should have to firstly look out onto this hideous house and also why they should struggle to sell their houses because of one over the top queer ticket.
I think you're language and rudness says a great deal about you. I actually live in a quiet area where people mind their own business thankfully.
Did you ever consider that perhaps your neighbour might think that your taste is questionable! As I said earlier each to their own.
Thankfully, we live in a society where most people are either charmed, amused or turn a blind eye other peoples eccentricities.
You're neighbour sounds like he is being creative. I can see nothing wrong with that. I've got a neighbour who's growing plants out of numerous hanging wellington boots. It looks fantastic.
My advice OP is each to their own!0 -
I thought the point of this website was to give people constructive advice not to take the mick? Why would people comment on something just to give a pointless opinion.
I think you're confusing 'pointless opinion' with 'not what I want to hear'."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Dont worry OP there are force 9 to 10 gales predicted for tonight. By the weekend all the strange pictures will have blown away.

Thanks for that pearl123. Shame you don't have any constructive advice. I'm pleased it amuses you, I can only imagine the kind of neighbourhood you must live in if this seems like nothing. It's not the fish tanks that are the problem it's the fact that this man seems to be slowly but surely covering the front elevation of the house in strange pictures.
Please show us a photo, it might help us advise as its very hard to imagine what it could look like.Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0 -

So why can't she be 'snobby' as you call it - or is it just house proud? It must be annoying if you keep a tidy home and your neighbours dont mind any old bit of tat on their doorstep.
Framed pictures on the outside walls sounds a bit odd  they might be lovely people but I'm not sure there's alot your friend can do, unless the landlord is against it.
Happy moneysaving all.0 -

It really is - our almost non-existent crime figures and ridiculously high house values bear that out. We don't have any of the wrong sort around here.:D

Very 'Stepford Wives'The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0 -

Indeed, you wouldn't want houses that plebs could afford, as there's a risk that they might move in.
I'm of the opinion 'live and let live' He obviously takes some kind of pride in his house. Maybe it's not what your friend would do to her house, but then he might look at the front of her house and think she's a bit odd too. Where my parents live there are neighbours who think it's strange that they have plants and trees in their front garden. My parents think the neighbours are strange for block-paving their front garden.
We should cherish the characters in our neighbourhoods. They turn them from blandness in to interesting. Everyone remembers the interesting neighbours from childhood - one of ours kept a goat, another had a brilliant model railway in his front window.0 -
What are the photographs of? I must say it all sounds rather sweet :A0
