But I'm very out of date with SW (and not very slim either!) so I may be wrong. It is of course very low syn, but while a banana is free food and technically you can eat as many as you like (or could - as I say I am out of date), freezing it makes it synned.
Thanks for that
It doesn't take much to get this brain addled.
Have you managed the OJ and mullers on the elite thread? I'm a bit nervous about glitch chasing/coupon use etc so have yet to give it a whirl?:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A
Grocery Spend Weekly Challenge (Sat-Fri):£30.50/£400 -
Morning, hope everyone is well.
We are going out for the day tomorrow. Out of the freezer today I have taken YS mince 50p , to make mini shortcrust mince and onion pies. A 1kg pack of YS chicken wings 49p to do half spicy and half garlicky. 3x packs of puff pastry to make a puff savoury square that I will cut in to 4. 4 x chciken curry pasties with left overs from last night. A tray of cheese straws. I will also take out 4x YS muffins 39p. We will also be taking YS grapefruits 20p and YS cherries £1.
I know that is a lot of food for 4 people but we will be out for 12 hours and any left overs will be lunches for next week.
I am not going shopping so nothing should go in.
JJ, you could make some prawn toast, my husband is not keen on prawns but loves my prawn toast.£36/£240

No I must have missed that one. Is it internet coupons? My Mr T won't accept them unfortunately.0 -
jumblejack wrote: »Anyone for any good ideas of what to do with cooked prawns? I don't eat em. I pulled them out of the freezer for OHs packed lunch but he wanted beef in his salad box instead, ggrr. I can't refreeze them and I've never cooked with them before. I haven't any fish in otherwise it's be a fish pie. They were only 36p YS but even so. It's a shame to waste them.
Make a quick prawn ramen style soup for lunch? Noodles and sliced veg in stock with soy sauce, fish sauce and drop the prawns in for the last few minutes to heat them? Can chuck shredded chicken in with it. It would stretch a small pack of prawns to do lunch for four.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
Just caught up on the thread - (((hugs to anyone needing one))). Hope people are doing better than i am with their budget.Possession wrote: »Date-wise, the only thing I've had a problem with from AF is the ready to wok noodles. I recently had to throw them out as the oil n the noodles had gone rancid.
Well, i think my budget is out the window. I have done 2 shops on the clearance websites lately, but im not too bothered as i haven't done so for months and one of them shops will not be counted, posh chocolates that were £30 something, reduced to £1.99 (could not resist), as these are to be put away for birthdays and xmas. Will add up cost later and update signature.0 -

Same here actually, but what i do is i rinse the oil off them in a collander and they are fine - probably shouldn't have shared that (lol).

Never thought to do that but TBH DH was so put off I don't think that would have worked for him. The ones on there at the moment only went out of date this month so are probably fine.0 -
Good Morning All:)
Picked up my till receipt from my Mr M's trip yesterday ready to update my sig and I have just noticed a little annoying mistake.
I bought a value pack of streaky bacon @ 98p and a pack of cooking bacon @ I think 74p and because the till operator did not seperate them, as I loading up the belt put them on top of each other, has put them through both as streaky!
I know it's not a huge difference, but I told DD2 we couldn't have both streaky as I could use the cooking bacon in so many different ways and was trying to save a few pennies at the same time - so how annoying is that?
And because it would mean either an extra car journey or phone call I shall just have to accept that Mr M's has gained an extra 24p from me just because the "Speedy" till guy couldn't be bothered to check the packs
Wouldn't mind but I had to chuck a whole raw chicken away other week from Mr M's,still in date but was rancid when I opened it, and for same reason I never bothered taking it back.
Mr M's better pull his socks up else I am shopping elsewhere (but it would be hard as I have to take my elderly Dad shopping there every week and he would hate change).
£31.40 to add to total.
