Just browsing on af and am in 2 minds about ordering cause of the dates?
    please help :-)
I used to think that as well :o

This week alone I have made my family chicken chassuer dated Nov 2011, and cake mix dated Sept 2011, 10p each. Both were lovely with no difference except price.
I have not ordered from AF, but it sounds just the same as our local store called Barrys in Consett that does it.

I'm gonna declare at £30.99 for this week. Going to put £20 on the signature straight away though due to the 'haul';)

Dinner was yum. The yorkies were perfect. Cup of flour, cup of milk, 2 eggs and a handful of fresh sage, blitzed and poured into a 6x Yorkshire pudding tray. Feel quite proud of em ;)

    photo-172.jpg?t=1342188692

Roasted carrots and potatoes with fresh rosemary, fried leek and cabbage, string beans, yorkies n roast beef. Gravy made the proper way. Beef fat was used in the tins n pans for the veggies. Not healthy but satisfying on a glum day.:)

Feel quite pleased with this weeks grocery challenge. Don't need much til next Friday night so should be ok.

Have a fab n frugaltastic evening peeps.

By the way, my cherry jelly still hasn't been fixed much but it is now the perfect consistency for jam tarts or thumbprint cookies (where you make an indent in the cookie and put jam in the well when you bake em ;))

Might give em a whirl tonight. May do a batch of herby cheese bread too (buffet sized version) as I need to take a savoury contribution to a do on Sunday night!:j

I have just seen the best idea EVER!

Apparently you can blend frozen bananas to make a creamy icecream... WITH NO OTHER INGREDIENTS:T

It's all unravelling on GC front. Had to buy a birthday cake today - shameful I really should have thought ahead and made one. So that's a completely unnecessary £4.26 added to my bill, making it £85.49/£200.

I've checked out the make of my breadmaker, Morphy Richards, but still to seek out that instruction manual.

In my defence, re the lack of cake and bread baking going on, its very difficult with a clingy toddler hanging on my ankles.

And it will be a four day running tomorrow visiting MrS - at least this will be for the weekly shop and not "extras".

Or you can add peanut butter to make peanut butter icecream.
Or just freeze a banana on a stick without bothering to blend - tastes like icecream anyway (although once frozen the banana is not free food on slimming world.)

I know the rocky road banana method but love the convenience of the icecream. I bet there are a few twists. Peanut butter sounds intriguing (but I used my last up a few months ago on the PB cookies!;))

Regarding slimming world, how unusual! Surely the temperature doesn't affect the calories etc.
