So why not follow the suggestions then? Have you tried any of them to eliminate your machine after the forum upgrade? Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

Could you make your signature a maximum of 4 lines:D0 -
"So why not follow the suggestions then? Have you tried any of them to eliminate your machine after the forum upgrade?"
Why the aggressive attitude espresso?
I'm not sure if you have read my previous posts on this thread, but I have tried many ways of correcting the problem (after suggestions from other helpful posters).
I have cleared my cookies, cleared all my temporary internet files and tried ctrl/f5. Every time I try ctrl/f5 I just get about 20 script errors!
I have never denied that the problem could be my computer, but being a non techie, I thought the fact that the only place I'm having problems is the MSE chat forums was a bit strange. I don't have problems on any other web sites, I don't even have problems on the rest of the MSE web site.If only I knew then what I know now0 -
Anyone else not getting the confirmation email from the abuse team? Checked in junk mail but nothing there0

I was wondering if you were reading the various suggestions, which is why I asked the question!
It's clear that you don't listen to them i.e. queensway_boy's valid point regarding your pathetic signature, which actually breaks the forum rules and makes this thread more difficult to read.
Am I bovvered about your problem, no!
:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
Thanks for your constructive remarks espresso! Why bother replying if you are not bothered? I am a genuine user who unfortunately doesn't understand in depth computer talk. Sorry if this offends you.
As mentioned in my previous replies, I've been having trouble editing my signature since my problems began!
Sorry queensway_boy, I really didn't realise that I was breaking any forum rules. It is just a way that one or two of us on other threads/forums let each other know of our progress. It may be daft but I really thought it was harmless.
I'll try and sort it. Would put an icon here , but can't access them at the moment. As soon as MSE Antelo posts his findings, I will try and sort out the problem with my ISP's cache. I'm afraid things like Java, ISP cache etc., are not things that I am really familiar with which is why I follow other forum user's advice.

Crazy_Saver wrote:Why would that be, if the problem is at my end and not a problem coming from MSE?
I can't go into every single reason ..... suffice to point out:
An error has occurred in the script on this page can be an OS problem.
If you cleared your cache, MSE Antelo would then have to watch the webserver logs to check that all the files that should be served when you make a request on the forum are actually sent. Alternatively, they could list the files that should be on your system, ask you to do a md5sum and compare the result.
Installing an alternative browser would at least move the issue forward IMHO.0 -
Thanks irnbru.Just looked up md5sum. Looks scary to me!Will look into installing another browser. Will it knock out my broadband or anything else important if I just download another browser? If only I knew then what I know now0
