Ok, I'm not an IE7 user .......
You'll see on that colour box a link which says "How to ignore preset colors".
Follow it. It should explain how you can override/obey the colours you chose.
You shouldn't have to reboot.0 -

You are very very clever my coloured pages are back :T but the whole site is now in a completely different font so must have selected one too many options. I'll try again. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Hi everyone.
I'm slowly going crazy trying to work around the problems I'm having with this forum.
I have tried clearing my temporary internet files and am still having the same problems so I am wondering if maybe I'm not clearing them correctly.
I am going into the Control Panel-network and internet connections-internet options-then I choose......delete cookies-OK
.....delete files -OK
then I choose.......settings-view files......there still appears to be a long list of web sites here.
then I choose .........view objects and this one appears empty!
Please please please can someone help me.
Regards

If in doubt try CCleaner.0 -
Cheers irnbru.
I have checked again and manually deleted every temporary file, so I don't think CCleaner is necessary just yet (I'm always a bit wary of downloading things that I don't fully understand).
Still no joy though!!!!
Have to thank you in the long winded way until I'm fully functional again :-)

To determine if it's the ISP cache or the browser, you should install an alternative browser e.g. Firefox or Opera. If they work then it's not the ISP cache and you need to repair or reinstall your browser.

Hi irnbru.
One of the things that makes me wary is the fact that it is only this web site that I am having problems with.
Why would that be, if the problem is at my end and not a problem coming from MSE?
Not that I am complaining about MSE, it has been a life line for me lately!!!If only I knew then what I know now0 -

Thousands of users visit the site every day with NO problems, so why do you think that it is not "at your end"? Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
Because I have been one of thousands of users without problems for months until very recently, and it just so happens that other users that I chat with on other threads have just started experiencing similar problems at exactly the same time.
I am no techie, but it seems a strange coincidence! If only I knew then what I know now0
