item accidently sent to wrong address and has been stolen

So the OP changes his registered address in paypal, but if the default delivery address is not changed in ebay, how does paypal know which address to use?

My paypal address is my registered office address, but my default ebay address is my home. All of my my ebay purchases come to my home. The notification that sellers receive from paypal show my home address. In all probability, the seller did send it to the address that paypal gave them, and by the time the OP noticed the issue, it had already been sent.

As the OP has already in said in one of their earlier posts, they don't see why the seller should be be out of pocket, and why should they if they sent the item to the address that paypal gave them, the item arrived at that address as confirmed by the OP, but somebody subsequently stole it?

If the OP took the "advice" of some of the morally inept posters on here, then yes, I would say it is fraud - the OP would be lying to say that the item had not arrived at the address that the seller was given.

But if you are happy to believe otherwise, then that says far more about you, than the OP or myself.

Listen, ebay rules are clear on this. It says that you need to ship to the paypal address making you protected as a seller in the case of a dispute

My point is that despite you stating that "ebay rules are clear on this", what you posted above is incorrect.
Ebay do not state that you need to ship to the paypal address.

It might have been an error on your part or it may have been intentional, but whichever one it was the fact remains that it was wrong.

That's not what I was suggesting at all. Maybe you can learn to read things at face value instead of adding your own commentary?

What I meant was that if the OP did in fact have his correct address on paypal which is somewhat suggested, then the seller is in the wrong for posting it to the ebay address. There is no lie going on here. The OP tells paypal that it was not sent to his paypal address (TRUTH). However, if the address was wrong on paypal then forget what I'm saying here as it's not the sellers fault in that situation.

OP, has not been very good to give the essential information, and in the mean time everybody is making an opinion, when the most important thing is missing, the facts of what happen!

For yourself you really need to clarify what address the seller was presented with on the Paypal payment. thats the crux of where the blame lays.
