Just mash them up and stick them in a sandwich.

Add some choccy spread if you're feeling naughty.

I make the basic banana loaf but chop up a 100g bar of dark chocolate (I use Morrisons 25p one!) and add that into the mix before cooking - makes it taste slightly less sickly.

Too sickly? What is this wholly alien concept:rotfl:

Bananas and ice cream. Quick pud!

Fried banana sandwiches. I think you need to add peanut butter for the full Elvis Presley trip...

  • I'm totally addicted to banana bread.

Made it about three times this week.

Just chuck everything in the blender and hoy it in a greased tin.

    Lush!

Now there's a childhood memory I had completely forgotten until now

When I was little (4,5,6 ish) my dad and I used to spend a weekend with my Grannie every 5-6 weeks leaving my mum at home with my little sister. We would drive up on a Friday evening after tea and it used to take two hours. Always without fail Grannie would greet us with a plateful of banana sandwiches

Perhaps I should have some this evening in her memory...

Edit: I am a major fan of catznine's banana bread too, as is everyone I have ever cooked it for :D

Edit again: I also have a recipe in the Ocado 2007 diary cookbook (can't remember its actual name!) for banana and honey muffins. I haven't tried making them yet but was intending to do so sometime this week. Watch this space!
