    do baked bananas with honey and a little brown (or white) sugar server with cream, yoghurt, custard or a little ice cream. Peel bananas and loosely wrap in tinfoil, bake in oven on a medium heat for around ten minutes. Remove add a drizzle of honey and sugar and wrap up again put back in the oven for another ten minutes then serve.

  • Bananas with a drizzle of honey in pancakes.. Gorgeous! Or for an ultimate treat, add some chocolate sauce and icecream, banana on top and roll the pancake :D

    Banana Bread

    8oz S.R Flour
    3oz Butter or Marg
    6oz Sugar
    2 Eggs
    2 Bananas mashed
    2oz Nuts or Raisins (optional)

    Cream butter sugar.
    Add the beaten eggs
    Add mashed bananas (and nuts)
    Fold in the flour.
    Bake in 2lb loaf tin at 170º
    For about 45 min.
    Serve with custard, cream or ice cream

    2 crushed Weetabix
    2 mashed bananas
    1 cup of sultanas *
    2 cups of self-raising flour
    1 cup of sugar

    Mix these ingredients together, then stir in 1 cup of milk
    Pour the mix into a greased loaf tin, bake at 325 degrees (160 c, gas 3) for about 45 minutes.

    *1 cup equals 1/2 pint mug

    Another great idea:
    Slit bananas down the middle
    Shove choccy buttons/little bits of choccy in the middle.
    Wrap in foil and heat through in the oven.
    Can then eat straight out of the skin with a spoon.
    Melty-choccy-nana-goodness!

    This is what I'm planning with my two over ripe bananas tonight.

    Slice into discs, mix with leftover whipped cream, sultanas and a sprinkle of soft brown sugar.

    Make a banana loaf
    165g sugar
    1 egg
    150g self raising flour
    3 ripe bananas
    Mix ingridients together
    Pour into loaf tin
    180'c 30 mins
    Tastes great

    i am addicted to this cake, i also find you can get away with about 1/3 of a cup of sugar as the banannas sweeten it.......yum
    - prior planning prevents poor performance!
