Well I can't see round corners and can only guess but the £500 bog is now a refurb and with extras for a paltry £30 more,

Get real if you think the original posts my me and everyone else were wrong.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

    One final update.
Mum has decided to throw in a few more things and got a quote from a 3rd person.
The job is now new toilet, new smaller sink, a little bit of tiling around the sink and hang a bathroom cabinet. For this the quote is £530 inclusive of VAT which seems to be much more reasonable. (well, at least I think so) Also this person has done a few jobs for neighbours and has good reports.

Just in regards to the housing association thing, mum owns half and rent other half.

Thank you all for your input, it has certainly been interesting reading! :)

I had a job where it was cheaper to change everthing, than try to match an old cistern and pan, but I did offer both options.

Agreed...often difficult and expensive to source a match...especially for those chiffon pink loos.;)

They're the ones, £506 for the toilet, £382 for the washbasin and pedestal.
