Even if it took a whole day and used a half decent pan it should not be more than £250 and that's on the high side.

I bet the screws have rusted away and the wobbling pan caused the leak and all you need is a handyman to repair it.

A whole day for £250 ? What sort of business would do even a few hours labour for that ?

Putting the price of the bog aside, half a day might be £500 in labour, though it might only be a 2 hour onsite job.

You have to watch for "tradesmen" wanting to charge their hourly rate for fetching parts and goods when they could simply have them delivered to site. Get labour charges split down into time on site and other and you don't go paying top whack for the guvnor to go fetching tiles from the shop 50 miles away !

Why is she paying anything if she's a housing association tenent ?

Surely the responsibility for fixing the wobble is the HA's ?

    !

I sincerely hope that is a pass take?.

We can consider a buisness as a person or a conglomerate, I think maybe the op went to a person.

So what price a London plumber.

I must add, a few years ago 'ere 'up north all the trades dried up.

You couldn't get a casual plumber or sparky, they all went down sarf chasing the rainbow, guess were they are all now?

The recession is/was a great leveller.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

But you can lease them as a company vehicle, claim the vat back, put the running cost against the company, tax as a goods vehicle, and it work out cheaper than a Fiesta.
True enough but it dosn't change my view. :D
