My final spend for February is £234.78_pale_

My budget was £230 so just a teensy bit over  but I did really well on the January challenge so i'm not too worried.

Makes me even more determined to do well next month.

  • i have ended up going over budget by about £20:mad: i lost my motivation this month, could just about drag my self out of bed most days and went a bit of track by not sticking to meal plans, not using stuff up and bining food:eek: i really need to get my self motivated for march. so my total for was £190.
Back on MSE again! to take control of my finances and not let it control me. :T May grocery challenge £41.96/140
  • I'm still fairly new to here and only just really getting into finding my way round the site so...

Can I join for the first time in March? I'm having a guess budget of £250, thats 2 adults, 1 greedy cat, 2 rabbits, 1 snake.. lets see how I do - this is my first month of having a 'baking day' for the freezer so that should help too :D

Well, other than perhaps a bunch of bananas, I've finished my month, so I'm going to declare myself significantly OVER :o

Not wholly unexpected, and actually with good reason though.

I've taken advantage of various deals this past week or so, and now have two full freezers and a full store cupboard - cost about £80-£90 but worth nearer £200 by my reckoning, and easily covers most main meals next month, and in some cases, beyond.

So, whilst my end total is £276.49 (from an original budget of £160  ), my actual menu plan/immediate use shop has come in fairly near budget at approx £190-£200.

Next months budget, 3rd-30th March, currently stands at £175, so I'll declare myself in for March and hopefully, with all this bulk buying this month, I'll crack it.

    :)

    Feb GC £80/£120 :(

    March Grocery Challenge £100
    Spent so far £64.15
    Remaining £35.85
  • Hi, please put my total spend for Feb down as £163.48. Not too bad for my first month following this challenge! Thanks, Chicken Pie.
    Feb 2008 Grocery Challenge £160, Spent £163.48
    March 2008 Grocery Challenge £160 Spent £206.70
    April 2008 Grocery Challenge £180 Lost count:eek:
    May 2008 Grocery Challenge £150
    Spent : £148.72

Bit of a disaster this month. OH insisted on paying for groceries via debit card instead of giving me housekeeping money. I find it difficult to keep track of what has been spent unless I have the money in my hand. This month we have gone over the budget, not sure by how much.
    January spend = £100

  • Hi All

I finished my spending for February the day before yesterday but hadn't declared, just in case I had a last minute spending frenzy! :D So I am now declaring for the month.

Lil-me - please put me down as £209.74 for Feb

Quietly pleased with myself for coming in £15-ish under budget (I suspect it might be a fluke though!:o )Will put my March target on the March thread....am off over there now. See you there!
