 Hiya ladies, and the lovely Mike,

I've lost the plot so much I can't even remember what my target was. :o

We've had a bit of a rotten month, My dad was told to give up his tiny little part time job or lose his Incapacity Benefit - and he can't lose that because it helps pay for the whopping great loan they had to take out to pay for his double hip replacement.

Then my Mum was told she no longer had a job, probably because she's been off so much with my dad being ill.

Then both of my grandmothers sadly passed away this weekend just gone. One after a lengthy stay in hospital, and one on the operating table after being rushed to hospital when she collapsed. :(

So with all that going on, I've gone off the boil somewhat.

I've got an £80 order coming tonight because the £7 off code runs out today, and I'll have to preview this post to have a look at how much I've spent so far.

Ok, that takes me up to £185.99 for February Lil_me and I think I can declare there.

It's not a completely realistic figure though because I've done a lot of eating out of hospital vending machines and my kids have spent their own money on chips etc, or gone round their granny's house when I've been at the hospital and there's been nothing but dry pasta, bread and porridge in the house to eat. :o

I'll stick to the same target of £250 for March please Mrs M.

Well done to everybody this month, a sterling effort! (even if you haven't done as well as you'd hoped.) I've been keeping up with reading posts even though I haven't posted very much.

Roll on March, I shall be glad to get out from under February! :D

    Love Jacks xxx :D

Well I'm very glad to say I can get rid of one thing from my shopping list after learning how to make my own tortillas for wraps! They were lush, so nice and fresh, much better than shop-bought. :j

Jacks - Sending my very best wishes to you and yours, you've had so much to deal with that worrying about sticking to an online challenge will be the last thing on your mind. Sending a virtual group hug :grouphug: for extra support.

Fluff Ing tinternet is playing up, so I think I'm about £50 under for the Feb Challenge.

Lil'Me, I'll declare Feb as £300, & thanks for all your hard work.

    Good Luck for March MrsMc!

Still no opinion on the self raising vs plain flour + bake powder:confused: And also the blue-&-white stripers vs branded? Anyone? Please?
Personally I use Sainsburys basic plain flour and SR flour, and have great results with them. The difference in cost between plain & adding baking powder and SR is pennies. So there's not really any point in getting just plain.

I use self raising for things that the recipe states sr.

as for the value verses btranded, never found any difference, and I've used value from all 4 supermarkets.
