Angelraesunshine wrote: »Ok finally marked up what my online shop was from last week £24.48 plus my last spend of the month today was another £10.60 so it means i have gone over budget this month by a total of £7 ~ not bad when i had to do a large cut down this month and knocked £100 off my normal grocery budget.
February's Grand total has come in at £207.00
i am actually quite proud of myself will do some figures over the next few days and see how well i can do march's budget won't be knocking another £100 off again for next month but if i managed it so well this month for the 5 of us there should be no reason why i can not bring it down a bit more again.
Good luck everyone else on your last days of february.
Wow - Angelraesunshine - that's a heck of a drop in your budget, you've done really well!:T0 -
Another £34 to come off so now left with £38.32 and have one more abel and cole order left for this month, I will also be rather close to an Asda this afternoon so will have to exercise some self control as I still have enough in the cupboards.:oOur days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

I'm £2.51 over already and need to buy some milk before end of the week so I'm trying my best to stay under £10 over budget.

Fluff Ing tinternet is playing up, so I think I'm about £50 under for the Feb Challenge.
Lil'Me, I'll declare Feb as £300, & thanks for all your hard work.
Good Luck for March MrsMc!
Still no opinion on the self raising vs plain flour + bake powderAnd also the blue-&-white stripers vs branded? Anyone? Please?

Looks like I've just gone over this month by taking OH shopping with me - I budgeted £16 - came out at £57  Next month he's not coming near Tescos!
Will try for £175 again until I get under! Where is the March thread?0 -
My tesco delivery has just arrived, and I can't believe how much i've bought. The even scary thing is that a few months ago this would have lasted me about a week, possibly 2, but this is actually my main shop for the month!!! There does seem to be an awful lot. Must stop staring at it and put it away. I do feel a few weeks worth of menu plans are in order though. xxMoney, money, money, must be funny....in a rich mans world.

Hello bigMummaF
Didn't see your original question but -when i was at catering college -we only ever used Plain flour and added baking powder to make Self Raising..and i have noticed that here in germany "self raising doesn't exist either"
I pretty much always use the cheapest flour and still make stunning pastry -if i say so myself :rotfl: ..... the only "special" flour i have sometimes had is the "sponge" flour -but only when making a special cake..but most of the time i use bog standard
Hope that helps-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
The only thing I have left to buy is my organic veg box tommorrow at £8 so this brings my total for the month to £257.57 thanks Lil me.
Mrs Mc can you put me down for £250 again next month, I will try harder to meet target before I think of reducing it.
Bigmummaf I always use the value flour, they sell more of it than all the rest so it's fresher. I almost always use plain flour and add a raising agent if I need to . Hope that helps.Grippy is my middle name!0 -
