No Buying Unnecessary toiletries in June

UUs for me.......
Avon anew resurfacing serum. On offer for £16 in my mum's catalogue. Didn't know what to expect from it but gave it a whirl. I'd had a breakout of spots on my neck (at the age of 40!!! The unfairness) caused, I think, by a hair straightening balm that didn't agree with me. Anyway I slapped the Anew stuff on morning and night, plus on my face, and it does seem to have 1. Made my skin look smoother and a bit clearer and 2. Helped to sort out my neck by helping the skin to renew itself a bit faster. So props to Avon and I WBA. Wouldn't use it all the time though, just in month-long bursts.
Garnier fresh essentials face wash. Good stuff, smells nice, fine for the shower. I WBA but don't have to because I got it on a 2 for £5 offer and the second is still in the toiletry basket of doom (actually, since I started doing this challenge it's looking gratifyingly emptier. No more do the toiletries rise a foot above the rim!)
Had a couple of INs at TK Maxx but they were needed, honest. A bar of gardenia soap for the shower (love the smell of gardenia but hard to find, plus have rediscovered soap as a concept) and a body cream. Both from the TK Maxx reduced shelf. Soap was £1, body cream £4. The latter is a brand I don't know called BOA botanics of australia. Will break into it when I finish the dregs of my BS Shea body butter, which I hope might be tomorrow.
Progress!
I hope everyone else is doing OK. BTW I don't think I'd buy 5 shimmer cubes even if they were the best thing ever. Don't think you could use them in a lifetime and you'll be sick of looking at them!!0 -
UU last night, Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula Concentrated Cream I think its called, small tube for feet, knees, elbows etc - love the smell and very effective on the hard skin around my heels. I have a bad habit of walking around bare foot a lot. Cut the tube open to get the last bit which is usually the acid test! WBA0

BUT you could buy them for that price and ebay them...
Grape is apparently called Frosty normally - dont know that I can bring myself to do that (though I do find myself calling her that from time to time!) Grape is much better....
Least AB has got in the places And - albeit last of 3 - who cares that they stopped counting the distance he was beaten by, its not like he needed to bust a gut to finish in the places!!!Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0 -

Oh and LUCKY YOU!!!! going on RCI, I love RCI so muchyour med cruise sounds very similiar to the one I've been eyeing, but mine goes to Italy I believe. I would kill for a Greek island cruise but ideally want to port out of southampton instead of flying to somewhere and then cruising
I'm uber jealous of your lush holiday xx
Yes, I remember us walking around with water up to our ankles on that particular stormy night. MrM wants to go to Miami but only because he's seen all the women on Burn Notice. I like to remind him that Dexter lives there as well! lol OT but did anyone see the last Season of Dexter? OMG what a finale!
My friend has just been on a RCI Greek cruise (Splendour of the Seas). She flew to Venice to embark and having been on the Independence before preferred the Independence as there was not a lot of British folks on the Greek cruise. The cruises you are all talking about do sound nice, I think I have a vision of lots of oldies on cruises all whizzing about on mobility scooters, I am wrong by the sound of it:rotfl:.
We were out with family who are visiting from Oz on Sunday and they went on a Celebrity med cruise just after arriving in the UK. They said there were loads of OAPs on it. I suppose it depends on the time of year you holiday.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Yes I love Dexter can't wait till the next season , only started watching it a couple of seasons ago but what a show!!
I have a UU - superdrug spa showergel, bought this last year reduced to 19p so WBA at that price! Have open OS mint and tea tree as good for the summerLife is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time0 -
I have a UU:
A bottle of nail varnish remover - this personifies my stash perfectly - I use this about twice a year but have 3 bottles in my stash!
I'm also cruising this summer, from New York up to Canada and including a few days in Montreal and Boston too, I'm very excited! Although a little nervous of finding a Bath and Body Works store, I love the place and miss it now there aren't any here. I must resist!
I repainted my nails tonight - wearing $OPI Metro Chic - and was amazed that I am about 4/5ths down the 60ml bottle of OPI nail lacquer that I recently started. Mind you I shouldn't be surprised as it's not very cost effective. I tip the bottle up with the cotton pad pressed against it so that I'm getting an application as big as the neck of the bottle IYKWIM and each one of those applications only removes lacquer from one nail.
I love the Bath and Body Works and wish we had them here still. Saying that though I've opened a small bottle of their Wild Pumpkin body lotion and am not liking it very much. It's very strong smelling.Since you all must be experts in makeup and toiletrydo you still stockup on bodyshop glitches? I can get 6 shimmer cube palettes at £5 each with discount compared to paying £16 each which I would never but can't seem to want to spend £32 in one go even though I will get 6 items (will gift some of it).
Does anyone know if the body shop shimmer cube palettes are any good?
I can't comment on the shimmer cube palettes or any make up from TBS but I try not to succumb to the glitches anymore as TBS constantly have offers on.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. Was that Season 4 with John Lithgow in? We've watched it from the beginning. In my opinion there has only been part of the Second Season that was a bit naff. I love the dark humour in it. Can't wait for the next season either. Just wonder what direction it's going to go in!
Just wanted also to say thanks to all those lovely ladies who mentioned my No Spend month. Here we are at day 19 and I still haven't bought anything.
Congrats to kiplingmonkey too who also has had a LBM re: the Q (or cosmetic spending in general).Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. Another UU here doing quite well this month
Lavera All-Round Cream 150ml - got this last month from Amarya box, as it was in a nice little tin I took this on holiday. WBA loved it and think its very good value for money being an organic product. It retails at £6.95.
Now to continue UU the St Ives body lotion, I know there is loads left in the bottle it just doesn't seem to want to come out.
Hoping for more UU this week.0
