Been offline for a few days cos my internet died (thanks Virgin!!) but one UU and one TA - chucked the horrible Lidl body butter, cant even bring myself to use it on my feet any more I dislike it so much (can you guess the answer to WIBA? !!) and I UU my ted baker bubble bath from the christmas gift set. WIBA? yes yes yes, love it - though not unless i can get it cheaply, as there are others that scent the bathroom and bubble cheaper. No bubble bath left now, and only niceish showergels - so wont be using that instead - might go without for a bit...
Also only got my TB body souffle and the lotion left as well - so not got anything for "normal" use, might have a look at the buy 3 get 3 at the BS to see what they have if I can use things for presents...

Being more tempted by the TIGI up to half price sets on cheapsmells - but as both my shampoo/conditioner combos are in use (the horrible tresemme and my lovely bedhead) and the bedhead does appear to be my HG I might have to persuade myself that stocking up if its significantly cheaper is a good thing...

especially as after Wednesday I will have the extra mouth to feed - yay !!!! :D

well done ladies, keep things up !!!

Emslovesmickey, the best hair mask I know of is L'oreal masquintense, but it is terrifyingly expensive (like, £20 a pot or something).

Might be cheaper to get the offending ends cut off!!!

    evening all,

    I have a few uu's to declare:

Molton Brown Davana blossom foaming bath - this smells divine!!!, it was a gift ages ago from my OH, I would buy it again but only if money was no object as it is beyond my budget

L'occitane shea foot cream - this was a little 10ml tube, which didn't go very far, it's a lovely rich cream but I'm not sure that I would buy it again, am undecided on this one

Vo5 hairspray - I will definitely buy this again, a massive can cost me not much more than a pound, and it has lasted so long that I can't even remember when I bought it, t does a great job and doesn't leave my hair feeling hard.

Max Benjamin White Pomegranate shower gel - this is beautiful, it has a very light floral scent and isn't cloying, it's an Irish brand and is made with certified organic ingredients, I will buy this again at some point. Have moved on to my l'occitane verbena shower gel which smells very refreshing.

    Hope everyone is well

    happy pampering, xo

thats the one... :j rather large, brown four legged one.... taken the day off to go down and get her - to find my transporter on the phone asking me if we can leave at 7  to drop Red over to her new/old field on the way through so she can get back to Winchester to do another pickup later in the day... its my day off - I really didnt want to have to get up even earlier than usual !!!!! still - will all be worth it in the end... :D (excited, much??!!)

oh - another toiletries thing - I mixed seasalt up with shower gel to see if it made a scrub.... it doesnt. its not set enough to be any good really, which is annoying - might use sugar next time, or maybe melt some gelatine and add it to try to make the mix set a bit - that would be better i think... unless any of you lot have any ideas??

    I have a UU:

A bottle of nail varnish remover - this personifies my stash perfectly - I use this about twice a year but have 3 bottles in my stash!

I'm also cruising this summer, from New York up to Canada and including a few days in Montreal and Boston too, I'm very excited! Although a little nervous of finding a Bath and Body Works store, I love the place and miss it now there aren't any here. I must resist!
  • UU L'occitane verbena shampoo WBA lovely stuff and smelled gorgeous! Onto SAMY fat hair which on first wash seems to be good.

Found a sachet of lanolips in my sachet basket and I wish I had found it earlier my lips are now fully restored am thinking of buying this as I am seriously impressed.

GA to my DD's no17 BB cream WNBA to oily and wrong shade for me.

    saw the pic,very sweet:)
have you tried the old method of sugar mixed with oil?I have done it on my hands and it leaves them lovely and soft, also good to get dirt out after a day in the garden but think you would then need to rinse off or it might mess up clothes/bedding!

is it me or are we not getting through so many pages at the moment?

a woman at work asked me if I did my job after retiring:eek::eek::eek::eek:and heres me thinking i still look young:(:(
came home and did my hair colour last night, guess it is a HG as i always go back to it ...nice and easy non perm colour 78,makes my hair look glossy and it a not too way out colour than fades nicely.
    have a good day all

Since you all must be experts in makeup and toiletry :) do you still stockup on bodyshop glitches? I can get 6 shimmer cube palettes at £5 each with discount compared to paying £16 each which I would never but can't seem to want to spend £32 in one go even though I will get 6 items (will gift some of it).

Does anyone know if the body shop shimmer cube palettes are any good?
Pink is so not my colour :undecided

I was thinking the same about the postings - a lot of the people who started the year haven't seen it through, then some old friends are absent for other reasons, like Kaz, SarahA and Essex Hebridean.

Rosemary, hopefully she was thinking you retired early, though that seems to have stopped for a lot of people. A friend has just retired from a mega-stressful job * , she was refused voluntary redundancy at 64 and had to carry on till she was 65. She is amazing for her age, but she's needed to be.

I had an email yesterday saying I'd won a 'Dettol Limited Edition Union Jack No Touch Handwash' in a Facebook competition, :j so that will be a Non Bought In when it arrives. Useful, as the bathroom handwash is getting low and I haven't got many other things to top it up with.

Trudi, lovely exciting news about Grape, or has she a stable name?
Angrove Rumbaba, Rummy, was third of three on Saturday, quagmire ground that he hated. Rebecca is a fantastic jockey, she nearly won the big amateur race at York earlier that afternoon, then legged it up to Hexham to ride Rummy. I should be getting a tiny cheque from Weatherby's as there was prize money for third. :D

    * Friend's job:- Teaching children in a local secure unit, essentially most of them have committed extremely serious crimes and are very badly damaged psychologically. A few are just plain evil.
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.
