Far more commercial than I expected with Coc* C*la and S*msung handing out goodies, but also much more light-hearted too. I have never seen police motorbike escorts high-five members of the crowd before.
Really pleased I went.
UU Various sachets including an Avon Reversalist Serum.
WIB? No, it's an odd flesh-toned colour and I'm not entirely convinced that it doesn't show up on skin. Pleasant enough, but also very expensive.
I am loving the cruise tales. Oddly enough, when I went to the States (Vermont & Maine) I found the portions /courses the same as in the UK, with the exception of one place where you were encouraged to order one portion and two spoons for dessert so as to share it with a partner. Which I did.0 -
Hi all!
Been MIA recently, busy with work, and house/dog/horse sitting this week too!
Hugs to all, and Happy birthdays for those I've missed. Hope everyone is well.
Ins:
A second mini Benefit porefressional (sp?) I like this, so I thought while I could still pick one up, I would. Not a bad deal for £2
L'oreal elvive nutri gloss crystal shampoo 400ml- as much as I really don't agree with l'oreal- i like the original version of this shampoo and my hair needs a bit of a pick-me-up
UU:
Nivea soft moisture cream 75ml WIBA? Shared effort here, but a good essential to have. WIBA at some point.
Dove nourishing shower cream 55ml WIBA? Given to OH to take away for work, but Dove is always good
Nivea refreshing light moisturising day cream 4ml WIBA? Nice enough, maybe.
Johnsons daily essentials hydrating day cream 4.5ml WIBA? Nice enough, with SPF, but lots of other moisturisers to use up first.
I'm hoping for a bit more progress on the UU front, but most things are full size and full
Have a good week all0 -
A UU - Original Source shea honey and butter show er gel (I think that was its title
) WBA nicely moisturising, nice scent and good value
Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.

Blimey Kiplingmonkey, does it really cost £64 per head to see a west end show? I am speechless. You got a good deal though.
Quite jealous of all this cruise talk. I told DH last week that if we continue to be starved of sunshine during this poor excuse for a summer we're going on a cruise in the autumn. One week away in August won't be enough. Would very much enjoy the frock buying associated with cruising!
Apparently there are some good bargains to be had for cruises because people are generally cutting back and the Costa Concordia debacle hasn't done cruising any favours!
I've got a slightly weird UU. It's plastic gloves. Having learned the hard way that fake tan turns your palms orange even if you scrub them afterwards I tend to stockpile plastic gloves when I see them on offer. Last year Poundworld had boxes of them for, you guessed it, £1 so I bought three boxes. Just finished one box in my continuing quest to UU Patsy Palmer's bonkersly named "it......is" self tanning spray (which actually does give you a good colour).
Also noted to my joy that some stuff is spluttering, notably the Avon anew face resurfacing stuff and my BS Shea body butter. Think I may be close to graduating if you disregard the tanning gear and the EU make up mountain (which is actually starting to look almost respectable).0 -
I have an IN from the M & S sale. Lip Perfection lip stick in Flamingo. It was down to £2 and the colour is really lovely.
But I do have another UU to offset the IN. My HG hair product Tigi Texture Paste Hard to Get. Love, love, love this stuff.
On the cruise topic - I have sailed twice with RC - one from LA down to Mexico and the other was some of the Carribean islands. I have also cruised with P & O - 2 weeks around the Carribean (seeing other islands). I really rated both companies. I have been round South East Asia for 3 weeks with Costa and had the most horrific (and most expensive holiday). This 2 years ago prior to what has happened this year. Some of the H & S issues were flagged up on my cruise with them and it was just ignored. I complained at the time and then wrote a 6 page letter of complaint to Costa that was dismissed. It is the only holiday that I was in tears with and just wanted to get home. Thankfully I had some really good experiences so it didn't put me off - just that company. No buying toiletries Graduated May 2017Decluttered 2016 2469 items, 2017 1580 items :j2018 3060 itemsSealed Pot Challenge No 0380 -
Tossed a Yardley's body scrub. No scent, chunky and hard to get out of the tube. Too much aggro to keep using.
Been on two cruises. The LA-Mexico and wanted to push the husband overboard by day 2. No place to get away from him!
The other was a trip to Las Vegas then across to San Diego and up to Vancouver. Beautiful scenery and the NoroVirus on board. Confined to our cabin for two days because my mother had n&v. She didn't have the virus (I've worked through outbreaks at work and know the smell).
Will never go on another cruise with a relative. Anyone know of any nice men that want to cruise with a cuddly mum type.
Oh, and avoid the cheap christmas/new years cruises to Mexico or the Carribbean. Friends went and said they were awful. The crews hate sailing this package week because "we get the trailer trash of the cruise world this week". I was told it was like being in an episode of "My big American gypsy wedding"0 -
Good morning all! Raining here in suffolk lol big shock
And my bus is super crowded and someone stinks haha. I am day dreaming about cruises now sigh
So I have some in's from this weekend because a kind friend sent me a gift package which consisted of
3 nail varnishes.
I started my makeup stash list as my toiletries list is low now!! I hope to graduate from actual bath/body toiletries within 1-2 months!!!!!!!!! And then I will start on my makeup, perfume and nail polishesNo Buying Unnecessary Toiletries Challenge

Sun is shining here today and already quite warm, sent the kids to school in their summer uniform, may as well get some wear out of it.
Have a couple of uu to report, my last Sanctuary Spa Bath Soak, 75ml size, really like this range, foams up well and the bubbles last. I still have a number of body washes, body lotions and body butters in the mini sizes to go so will use those up with some bubble baths that have no matching items.
Also have finished a pump bottle of Aveeno Creamy oil, this is really nice and lasts forever, it isn't oily at all and a tiny bit spreads a long way. I think it is quite pricey at full price if i remember. The kids used this and I have replaced it with a bottle of Vaseline cocoa gel body oil or some such name. I can't get on with this, it is very thick and gel like then turns into an oil on the skin, I don't like oils find them too sticky for me so will try on the kids and if they don't like it it will be binned.
I am currently wading through a huge pot of S&G Big butter blueberry body butter which i am not enjoying. I like the texture of the righteous butter but this one is so sticky I can hardly get my clothes on after even after waiting for a bit. The kids always say it smells like their blueberry porridge which i suppose it does.
Valm - just have to say I think you are doing fantastically well this month, all credit to you for curbing your QVC habit, I know how hard it can be, I don't have a thing for QVC but do for other things.:ADebt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Oh dear! This made me laugh so much...
My OH's Dad goes on lots of cruises as a lecturer and he often offers to take my OH along with him. The time that my OH did go it turned out that he had Shingles (he was about 25 at the time!) He spent the whole time resting and recovering and eating! :rotfl:Being on a cruise ship was probably the only way to get him to S-T-O-P for a moment and get well, so it was a real blessing.0 -
