I'm not having much luck at the moment...

I drove all the way to Boots to do their 'Summer Points Event' which they emailed me about and once I'd been through the til it turned out that the event wasn't happening at that store??!!!:mad::mad: So if I spent my money at one Boots in town I get points, but spend the same (on the same items) in another store and I get nothing! How does that make sense??:mad::mad: (Oooh! I'm really cross and I don't get wound up easily. It was the first time I've set foot in Boots since Christmas and now I wish that I hadn't bothered...)

Edit - I've followed the link on the website that explains about the event and if you click on the 'participating stores' link it doesn't even work! ***Grrrrrr!***

think I must be a bit thick(no answers please!)I have just tried to add stuff to the wishlist on elfster but all i could do was search for the brand and add full size stuff which was not what I wanted to do!
I thought I could write what I liked but could not work lout how to do that either.....(old) women and technology:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

what I was trying to say was I love YSL lipstick especially the mini GWPs and all YSL perfume as it seems to be the only brand that stays on me for any time so samples most welcome!
off to look round an open garden tonight, fingers crossed that a/ it does not rain and b/ the mossies don't bite as they have driven me mad in my own garden this week:mad:

When you go into the add to wish list option the third tab should say text and you can add that way. Hope that helps.

That's so interesting, Ruby Eskimo. I hope that I just go off make up as well! :rotfl: I've had a few HG products that have been discontinued and I find it really difficult to find a good pale base that doesn't clog pores, doesn't oxidise, isn't shiny and lasts properly. (I have lots of failed primers and foundations :(). I don't think I'll buy any more eyeshadow or mascara, which is progress. :) I'm hopeful that I might have found a successful new base (Bourjois Mineral Matte, bought in a sale for £2.99). I don't need any more blush as I have two or three favourites. I have more lippies/glosses than I can count but I might buy a single Dior Addict Extreme with my Advantage Points (as a birthday present :)). It's really foundation/powder that is my weakness as that is what I'm least happy with...

I'm sure that cutting back on toiletry INS has helped make me more careful about buying make up but I definitely haven't stopped yet...

If you haven't already tried can I suggest EL Invisible Fluid, I found it to be excellent. I also liked the Benefit Hello Flawless Excellent wow, but only tried this as part of a makeover and I think you need a few wears before making purchase decision (well I do now I've gotten rid of all my rubbish purchases).

Sorry you didn't get your extra points at boots.

    Hi SuiDreams!

I will definitely ask for a sample of the EL foundation when I'm next near a counter (it doesn't happen often, unfortunately). That and the Clarins Matte Foundation are the two that I'm most curious about.

I've just got off the phone with Boots. It took 25 minutes to get through (on an 0845 number) which didn't improve my mood! They've added about £13 worth of points to my card. I don't understand why she wouldn't add the full £15 of points but I was too baffled to argue any more. I suspect lots of people have had the same prob and that's why Customer Service is "unusually busy"

Glad you got some points added rather envious, think I've only got a £1 on mine. I hope you get to try EL foundation soon, the sample lasts ages.

I'm pleased because I resisted all skincare/toiletry INS despite loads of offers in Tescos and Boots. I bought some very unglamorous things - three months worth of contact lens solution, a detangling comb, some toenail scissors (!), Mitchum deo (25% off from AC machine and my HG), a heated eyelash curler (1/2 price :)), some flossers (£1 off) and some little plastic travel pots.

The exciting thing that I bought was 4 Models Own NV. I rarely buy NV (unless it's a freebie!) but it was buy one, get one 1/2 price (£15 for 4). I chose: the Purple Blue Beetle Juice, Hedkandi Hedonist, Hedkandi Ibiza Mix and Purple Grey. I'm so excited that I can't decide which to try first! :rotfl:

Oh! I bought Red mag for the Jemma Kidd eyeliner. I prefered the Leighton Denny freebie with Harpers (I think) but I really wanted to read Red. I also bought a HUMUNGOUS box of Jelly Babies for £2 in Tesco (this is why is lucky that I rarely leave the house!! :rotfl:)

Willowbee - what a pain, these big companies do not help themselves do they?

I got the L'oreal triple resist sample today too, don't really count sachets in or out as I use them more or less straightaway. Also my avon delivery came today and I have two ins:

Pearl Shine - this is for nails and makes them look like you have buffed them, tried one coat and it really does.

Supershock gel eyeliner in black - this gets good reviews so I thought I would give it a go, tried it out and it goes on like a dream.

Avon are launching an Argan Oil treatment and also Argan Oil shampoo and conditioner, think they are in campaign 13, the oil is 30ml and will be at £2.99 as an introductory price.
