No Buying Unnecessary toiletries in June

That's where I used to come unstuck - filling my virtual basket until I qualified for free delivery!
I think it is a natural :money: instinct but it can definitely contribute to overspending :eek:Well done on your 5th no spend day. I am up to day 15 with no spends. i've decided that we're going to the Trafford Centre tomorrow though so I can look for a party dress for the cruise as all the half price sales seem to have started. Don't want to wait any longer especially as I have seen a few online that I like. Will order them online if I don't manage to see them tomorrow.
Oooh! When are you off on your cruise? I hope that you find the dress that you want tomorrow. It's exciting to be able to buy a special occasion dress and even better if it's in the sale :rotfl::TI did have a hair cut yesterday but I don't count this as a toiletry spend - I consider it a necessity. Was lucky my hairdresser could fit me in. Was "styling" my hair yesterday and thought it was getting a bit unkempt - foraged in my handbag for my appointment card and realised I'd missed it by a week. Another example of the stress of the job getting to me. So glad it's Friday again.
:T:T:T on 15 days :T:T:T That's amazing.(I don't think a haircut counts either). I'm sorry to hear that your job is stressful though...:(
HAPPY FRIDAY!0 -
Willowbee, keeping fingers crossed for you re the mineral powder. I love the Elasticizer, I eventually bought a huge size pump dispenser, now that I have let my hair go naturally grey, it is very porous and this makes it really shiny and soft.:)
Thank youThe mineral powder seemed to be ok yesterday :j I'm still being cautious but it makes it seem more likely that my skin was reacting to stress rather than the powder *fingers crossed*. The Elasticizer seems to work for all hair types, which is pretty amazing. I'm looking forward to seeing what it does to my hair
Re the summer sales, just keep looking in the stash stores ladies, it just might help our resolve;)
EXACTLY!
(It definitely helps seeing that other people are resisting as wellIt's different if it's your absolute HG on a special sale offer but L'Occitane was just full of things that I'd quite like to try, so NO to that! :rotfl:)

I looked and the L'Occitane liquid soap is reduced (20%), then I looked in stash drawer (one of them) and have a full 500 ml dispenser, 1/3 bottle in kitchen and just under half in shower room, using up bits and bobs in my bathroom, so have stayed strong:j, will stalk in on *bay over the next few weeks, might be lucky.
Raining, so no gardeneng today, lots of tidying indoors necessary, but not really in mood, must try the 15 minutes trick, not so daunting as a full on house tidy and clean session:rotfl:The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Hi all,
I'm a long time lurker on this thread but first time poster! You all seems such a friendly bunch I have decided it's time to join in.
My stash has been reigned in a bit since I started reading - main main problem is trying not to buy all the products everyone says are their HGs! But it has meant I am treating myself and actually using my nice products on a daily basis rather than letting them sit in a draw for that 'special occasion'!
Let the no buying begin!
 Welcome Tater and good luck!
UU - Elle Macpherson Release the Day Bath Soak. WNBA as I don't really do baths very often. The smell is nice, kind of lavender. I have been using this as shower gel instead. I have another one in the stash which I will use the same way.No buying toiletries Graduated May 2017Decluttered 2016 2469 items, 2017 1580 items :j2018 3060 itemsSealed Pot Challenge No 0380 -
Scrappie, thoughts with you and Mum. If they are prepared to wait a little before surgery that is good. My sister had her op last March and all has been well since - like your Mum, no chemo but radiotherapy.
She did find she was very restricted in her beauty body routine (no lotions, potions, deos, she was gutted) and she could only cope with loose fitting cotton nightwear.
Was supposed to be having windows fitted today (in pouring rain!) but the van broke down, so it's going to be [STRIKE]tomorrow[/STRIKE] Wednesday now, they then discovered the handles hadn't been sent. TG that I work from home. I would have been hopping mad if I'd had to take a day off.
Rain is lashing down, there's a cloudburst now and thunder rumbling. I'm not scared of thunder but it's pretty close!
On topic: Got a very pretty lipstick in Rosewood from Aldi, one of the Lacura range, the holder is so elegant too, looks very expensive.
Aldi have Batiste dry shampoo 150 ml for £1.99 (original, tropical, blush) on special from Sunday.
They also have a 7 piece bottle/spray/jar travel set in clear plastic again on special from Sunday.
Great if you are flying or just want to decant for a break/holidays/work away from home. I bought one of these the last time it was on special and will be using it next month for my 4 day break.
Just had a clap of thunder overhead. Erk.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -

Just had a clap of thunder overhead. Erk.to the thunder, cannot say I am really frightened, but it makes me really unsettled. Absolutely pouring down here (in the Midlands), managed a full hour tidying, so will list my UU's and throw containers away.
60. Decleor Expression de L’Age moisturiser 15ml. Part of a set, MBA, but really prefer PCMC.
61. Elemis Cellular Recover Capsules (7 day supply). WNBA,prefer the Elizabeth Arden ones and my A’Kin rosehip oil.
62. No7 Lighten & Brighten Age spot corrector. WNBA didnot really seem to do much.
63. Tri-Aktiline Instant deep wrinkle filler. MBA seemed to fill the cracks when I used itregularly, but since I finished working, don’t really bother, although I havean Aldi or Lidl one to try, which has been in drawer for ages.

I'm quite proud of myself.... a UU!
Body Shop Mango body scrub - WNBA!! All the oil was coming out of this it was absolutely gross - I've never noticed this with BS scrubs before? It actually left a scum around the bath and when I wrung out my exfoliator mitts the congealed oil was squidging out of them - yuck!
I carried on like a trooper though and its finally used up!0 -
Welcome Tater, hope you enjoy it here.
On the subject of thunder - I love thunderstorms, always have, can't get enough of them, the way it comes over all dark, bouncing rain, lightning, I do love a bit of weather though, extreme weather not just pittling it down all the time, am a big fan of winter too. Welcome Tater, hope you enjoy it on here everyone is so friendly.
I'm sad to say I could have more temptation coming my way as LIB are releasing a new box next weekend, ahhhhh. I must be strong.0 -
UU a bag of cotton wool. Obviously WBA but i have some spare at the moment so i don't need to. It's interesting what people say about saving toiletries for special occasions. I too am guilty of this, almost think they are too nice to be used in some kind of twisted logic!0
