SEL: £1 & BOGOF, but scanned at full price

Went to CS desk, but they refused to do DTD as I hadn't left the store. After much incompetence and hassle (including charging me the difference again, rather than refunding it!) gave up and called head office CS on the 0800 number when I got home. They said straight away that if an item goes through the checkout incorrectly then DTD should apply and agreed to send a £5 gift card for the hassle.
Interestingly though he did also say that DTD doesn't apply if you've done self-scanning. Can't see why it shouldn't apply then, but be warned!

Bought 3 packs of Tesco Smoked Salmon Slices (100g).
    3 for 2 on SEL.

£3.25 each - bit extravagant, but a treat as friend over for lunch.

Paid for shopping, left store, and read receipt in car.
    3 for 2 hadn't kicked in.
Back into shop - £6.50 refund.
(Originally tried giving me £3.35 ????)

    So....3 packs for £3.25.
Not the best, but not bad.
SEL had expired, staff were discussing a possible SEL error between themselves. May be worth a look.

    I found mine in Amersh*m Hill, Hi*h Wyc*mbe ;)
  • Dino Shiraz 2012 is marked up in tesco at 9.99- reduced to clear 7.49 but is going through tills at full price.

I bought 4,along with other bottles of wine so paid £40 minus 25% (for 6 bottles) so total £30. Got DTD which reduced this by £20 so paid £10 for four bottles.

I think I've done my figures correctly.. Can't see this exact wine on the tesco site.

Yesterday I bought 3 packs reduced turkey breast steaks £4 reduced to £1.60. The 2 4 £7/3 4 £10 kicked in so I got another £2 off or 66p off per pack. If you find these reduced to 66p or less I don't need to tell you what will happen.
They did not have a sticker on that showed the offer
Still virtually alcohol free since 4/1/15. (10 Xmas/ New Year/Birthday drinks)

Well done :T Personally I would go for a golden at another store unless I needed the brush, but you might find another at other store too ;)

Can I ask was it a yellow ticket? Was with the other toothbrushes?

    Thanks
  • Hi

Please could you tell me what is meant by a "golden receipt" ?

    thanks
