Tesco Misprices Thread 14

Got a great DTD.
Colgate C200 Electric toothbrush £64 - OOD SEL 'better than half price' £25
Picked one up, paid £65 with my bits of food, £40 overcharge, so £80 DTD at customer services without even being asked. Obviously an OOD SEL, but still worth looking out for.
Free toothbrush and £55 profit0 -

Could you post the details of the gift wrap please?0 -

Ooh.....how did you get the £55 profit? If you paid £65 and got £80 DTD, that's £15 profit which is great but £55 would def be better!0 -

The difference between £25 and £64 is £39.
£39 dtd is £78
Dtd is the price of the difference between the price on the sel and the price charged
Hope this helped0 -

I think clairebear1328's query was assuming you deduct the £64 paid from the DTD payment, which actually works out at £14 plus a free toothbrush, using your figures above. That's how I saw it anyway. Still a great deal though, not everybody can say that Tesco paid them to take an electric toothbrush away!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. So £78 back from customer services less the £65 actually paid is £13 profit. I think the op was thinking that they got £80 back from cs and the toothbrush should've been £25, but that wasn't actually what was paid.
As I said being paid to take away a toothbrush or anything for that matter is awesome.0 -
Nice little freebie in my local store today, Terry's white chocolate orange SEL £1.37 (half price) scanned at £2.62 so DTD back at customer services0

Not my first post but can't remember other login lol.
Just been to Tesco, picked up a glade sense and spray calming zen air freshener. Sel was £12 now £3. Scanned at £10 and spat out a voucher for £4.75 off my next shop. Only had a few other items nothing expensive or branded. Customer services gave dtd without prompting (£14) and removed the label from the shelf lol0
