It was on hot deals and I purchased them in Tesco Quedgeley, which is an Extra store. it was on UK Hot Deals and quite a few people have got them.

Just a quick question - several times at our local tesco there have been items labelled 'Half Price' but on closer inspection the new price is more than half of the old price. Not a misspricing as such but false advertising I guess? Will I be able to claim misspricing and get refunds or free items?

Just been shopping at Ts and went up to the customer services to have some points put on my card, while i was there a chap was getting dtd for some Wild Turkey 81 (8 year old whiskey). The trout on the phone was talking to someone and said the SEL was for £15 but he had been charged £23, so keepan eye open if in Ts could come in handy for crimbo if you can spot any. HTH
  • I don't know if this is the correct thread but while doing an online shop I noticed the above fresh chicken products were being charged at £3 for 400 grams BUT the price per Kilo is advetised as £5. By my maths this meand 400 grams should be £2. I did contact them pointing this out (2 days ago) but no response as yet.

Definately an overcharge but not sure whether it qualifies for DTD.

You are right maldemere - and it would certainly qualify as a DTD.
£3 for 400gms=£7.50 per kg. So, having paid £3, dtd=£2 refund. Chicken then costs £1.

Some Tesco stores have 200g tubs of philly cheese, plain or light versions, with stickers on lids offering a free pack of Tesco plain bagels. The philly is £1, the bagels £1.20. The store I visited did not have stickers on lids, but there was a large picture promo SEL stating the offer. Got charged for both items at till, so DTD at C.S. However, C.S. then removed the SEL, naughty. Watch out for this offer, hope it works (or not!) for others. £2.40 refund and both items for free.

May be only stores whose shelf-stackers aren't careful...

SEL says 170g bags of Revels half price, so £1 instead of £2.
Stacked with all the other half price bags of sweets on the aisle end.
Mine went through at full price and when I went to CS it turned out 140g bags had been stacked there, so scanning at full price.
Definitely NOT a trout who smiled, said she'd honour it and gave me DTD without me asking, then congratulated me on getting free choccie :rotfl:! Even joked with her colleague about sloping off to get some !
She was going to get the error sorted as left my local store, but may be worth a closer look at your stores ;)

 Oooh, perhaps it was the Maltesers or one of the others that are 170g and the Revels are a true DD opportunity :j :rotfl: :j
