Lol, sometimes its hard enough getting the dtd in first place;)

After I contacted trading standards and they visited my local, I have a letter from tesco head office confirming the DTD rules.

Funny the store here doesn't mess with me... They can sometimes need reminding though.

(I've never tried to return an item I've had DTD on though!)

Good Dtd opportunities nationwide on the 3 for £22 beer glitch from yesterday.

Real deal is 2 for £22.
    Buy 3. Get charged £37
    Dtd of £30
    3 cases for £7

Depends if your store has signage!

    Boddingtons Draught Bitter 18x440ml
    Carlsberg 20X440ml
    Budweiser 20x300ml
    Strongbow Cider 20X440ml

Not in mine, Carlsberg 20x440ml one big pile £15. So they pulled even the 2 for £22

Not marked as a refund been given means that the item can be returned without a fuss for full refund. For example I was overcharged on a microwave was priced 49.99 charged 99.99 so given double the difference back = £100 refund= free microwave. Receipt not marked as refunded, returned microwave to store when different staff working and got £99.99 refund = free £99.99 profit.

This is fraud mind. You already were refunded the difference between the stated price and the amount charged. (As well as the same again as compensation). Taking it back for a refund of the original charged price means that you are knowingly defrauding Tesco.

Chances of you getting caught is low, but what you did is risky and almost certainly illegal.
  • Just been to my local tesco metro @ Ed!nburgh Nico!son Street - McVitties chocolate digestives twin pack in '100% Extra Free' packaging, SEL says £2 but I spotted at self scan that they went through at 2.43 (even though they are allegedly reduced from 2.49).

I really did try not to look too smug as I said 'do I not get double the difference as it says on this board' - shame I only bought one but hope that some biscuit lovers out there have some fun with this!

My aunt was in a store tonight and seen an offer which had ran out. She handed me a yellow label for the item and asked if I could check a few other stores to see if they have it at that price.

Am I likely to find this in any other store or is it likely to be a store specific deal?

She should have bought it, paid the higher price if it was going through higher, then gone to customer services and got DTD

What happens if a tesco employee applies the wrong SEL to a product, and the correct SEL of the product is nowhere in sight, do Tesco have to honour the DTD in this case?

Daughter wanted a Monster High 13 Wishes doll which was marked up ad £12.50. Paid for it and it came up £23! DTD of £21.00 meaning the doll cost a lovely £2!

ETA: It was the Tesco Lea Valley store in Edmonton, London. And it was the Frankiestein 13 Wishes. The guy didn't change the label or remove it either ;)

The best they would do is honour the price below the product.
But no to Dtd. Has to be the sel for the right product.
