So I've just been to my local tesco where on the back wall they had pampers active for nappies half price. I grabbed loads as they were too good to miss.
On heading down the baby aisle opposite the back wall I saw they had active fit on 3 for 2 on packs of up to 60 nappies (mine were 33 packs)
Went to self scan the offer didn't work. Half hour later of trying to convince the assistants then the manager I was told that the nappies I'd bought were from a different area in the store and the 342 offer did not apply to them as they were end of line stock.
Told him tht the 342 signs did not state that those weren't included and all I got was that he would refuse the sale.

I bought them anyway as mega cheap but surely the 342 should apply?

Do you think this qualifies for dtd?

    Thanks in advance.

Similar thing today on 3 lots of size 4+ baby dry (pack of 24) @ 5.99 each so went through at 17.97 intead of 11.98. CS said they weren't in the offer and i showed her the label, she then got the duty manager & she wasnt sure so they then got the store manager who said that they weren't in the offer even though the SEL said 3 for 2 on baby dry etc 24-60 packs. Anyone got the email for customer service @head office please?

i did take them back and managed to get some of the simply dry in the old packaging at 2.50 a pack but thought i would give cs try but if you have already tried that maybe i won't bother.

    It's always worth a try.
You should ask them how a customer is supposed to tell the difference between those items in and not in the offer based on their vague labels.

Just had a barney with my local Tesco CS over 40p

We had a 'Save 40p on pre-packed apricots" voucher".

So we bought a pack of dried apricots to include with our shopping. The voucher didn't kick in and the girl at the till told us it didn't seem to want to work.

I concluded, that since the voucher didn't mention anything about the apricots needing to be ''fresh", that we had obviously been overcharged by 40p.

So back to the car with the shopping and then wifey went back in to get the 80p DTD refund.

She came back with only 40p and gave me some tale about "The CS assistant said it doesn't apply to vouchers."

I told wifey that if some thing should be £7.60 and you get charged £8.00 for it, then obviously you have been overcharged by 40p. So go back and use that as an example and tell the CS assistant that this is just pure common sense!

Back she went and back she came to me in the car, saying, "She won't have it!"

I grabbed the till receipt off her and went marching off to see the CS myself!

"Now look 'ere! Grrrrrrr!!!! etc., etc., etc.!!! So 'm not leaving and you can ring Head Office. I despise being cheated! Blah, blah! Blah! Blah!"

TWO Managers later, I came out of the store with an additional 40p.

Manager No. 1 told me to stop raising my voice and actually asked me to leave. I said, I was sorry and agreed to calm down but I told her no wonder I was raising my voice because it was 'Common Sense gone out the window and so utterly, utterly frustrating that they couldn't see my point of view."

Anyhow, Manager No. 2 was very calm with me, saw I was definitely not going to back off about it and agreed to give me the extra 40p.

Hmmm? I don't think it should have to come to this, should it?

    40 blooming pence! Goodness gracious!

dtd is for pricing errors not for coupons that dont scan. not surprised the cs didnt give it.

I nearly laughed at this :eek: Talk about raising your profile over 40p! why do it?

Exactly why the manager gave in at the end because it was only 40p, not because you were right as that's not what DTD is. Considering the fact you said you were raising your voice to them and they had asked you to leave, they were within their right to ban you if they had wanted to.

Goodness gracious indeed! I find this quite shocking. You're like a brat that throws their toys out of the pram when they don't get their own way.....grown-ups find that they are effective when they pick their battles, use reason and persuasion, and most importantly stay respectful. Your attitude is not going to get you far.
