so what happens to the people who havent noticed paying more.isnt this
    theft?
how ever i seen this.. I quote
    Tesco's Misleading Price Indications

Whilst reading the earlier post about Tesco overcharging and being guilty of misleading price indications contrary to the Consumer Protection Act 1987, I recalled an incident in Norfolk in September 2001 where Tesco complained to Trading Standards about Asda resulting in Asda being investigated and ending up in court with a hefty fine for misleading price indications. Read about that on BBC News.

It seems to me most ironic that today whilst Asda don't seem to have a problem with wrongly labelled prices, Tesco have a huge problem hence their refund and retain (R&R) policy. Isnt it ironic that whilst Asda have sorted out their misleading prices, it is Tesco who complained about Asda that are now facing problems. Report any misleading prices to Trading Standards who can see to it that hefty fines are imposed and if Asda are reading - perhaps it's time to roll back some justice?

  • I had a fab bit of luck this morning I tried out the new self scanner thingy in my local Tesco (Western ave Cardiff) and noted these biscuits on offer at £3 instead of £5

Cadburys Occasions 290grm (Can't put the picture in for some reason)

They scanned on my handheld scanner at £5 so I bought 6 packs and skipped off to collect my DTD and paid £1 a box :T

Maybe worth trying other stores I know the customer service lady run and ripped the offer signs down in my Tesco

Probably ought to say £3 off.

Might be a bit like the Special K glitch earlier this week, where they probably ought to have been 3 for 2, but were advertised as 3 for £2. Nicely stocked up thank you! ;)

My local Tesco has just got those scan as you shop handheld scanners. Will these show me mis-priced items? Never used them before.

    Thanks in advance!

I normally use them to find misprice items :p so the answer is yes :D
However sometimes the till price is different to the scanner price...

Also I wouldn't try to get Dtd using scan as you go, as there's more ammunition on them refusing Dtd IMO. But that's just my opinion :)

    http://www.tesco.com/direct/transformers-kids-backpack-with-pencil-case/676-6482.prd?pageLevel=&skuId=676-6482

Transformers backpack same as this was £14 reduced to £1.75 in the reduced bin but normal barcode scanned so shouldnt be store specific

also got a very similar one without free pencil case and no extra pocket on the front was £1.25

and a transformers pen reduced to 25p (great for stocking fillers)

    Got a great DTD.

Colgate C200 Electric toothbrush £64 - OOD SEL 'better than half price' £25

Picked one up, paid £65 with my bits of food, £40 overcharge, so £80 DTD at customer services without even being asked. Obviously an OOD SEL, but still worth looking out for.

Free toothbrush and £55 profit :D:D:D

I didn't know about Dtd and I was overcharged on six packs of gift wrap on Friday night, they just refunded me the correct amount.
