Not if it's done correctly instore - however if customer services have to intervene, it would be how they would send you what you should have got instore.

Would DTD work when you use a scanner and come out through the scanner checking counter?

You should get DTD from Tesco regardless of how you check out, if you've been overcharged. Unfortunately some of the instore staff seem to take it upon themselves to interpret things differently.
This is where you need to get customer services involved etc.

Duck crowns are £6 but I was just charged £8.50. I make that £1 per duck crown with DTD...!

This was instore at a normal Tosco

You'll still pay £3.50..

Price is £6 but you paid £8.50 - diff = £2.50 with DTD that's £5.00.
You originally paid £8.50 less the £5.00 back..leaves you paying £3.50.
Still a bargain if you can get it though

Surely this makes it £3.50 per duck crown not £1....

£8.50 paid. £2.50 over the price on ticket, DTD of £5. So £3.50 paid. Or have I missed something?

I agree with this store, i had real hassle at xmas over the dtd finest gammon, i did win in the end through emailing but it took me over 5 weeks to get my money.
