The new drive simply slots into the drive bay.
You will need to burn the ISO file you downloaded the other day
onto a blank DVD. Insert the DVD into the DVD drive of her laptop and restart the laptop. It should boot from the DVD. Watch the screen for a message saying Press any key to boot from CD (may or may not appear)
If it doesn't boot from the DVD, restart the laptop again and press the F12 key straight after switching on to bring up the boot menu, then select DVD / CD drive as first boot device.
PS remove your mobile number from above post. How do I add a signature?0 -

Your Drivers & Applications. Together with this Hardware Vendor Detection Utility you will be able to install the correct Drivers after you have installed Windows 7.
It's all quite simple. The instructions will carry you through. Have you at least begun the download?0 -
Laptops..........more bloody trouble than the yare worth.
I rolled out 1200 laptops to Head Teachers for the LEA in the mid 1990's.
Several got stolen - one silly woman left it on the back seat of her car in full view, parked on the street, on a council estate, it went in under two minutes. I pointed out that she wouldn't have left £2000 (thats how much they were then) on the back seat in used fivers, so why did she think a laptop worth that was safe?
The killer used to be cracked screens, it was £1500 for a new lcd panel, and the insurance companies wouldn't insure them. Had a few laptops bounce down stairs., not only did it destroy the screen, it would shatter the ceramic HDD. I had on woman berate me because I couldn't get her documents of a HDD that was virtually powder, having made its own way down two flights of stairs.**** I hereby relieve MSE of all legal responsibility for my post and assume personal responsible for all posts. If any Parking Pirates have a problem with my post then contact me for my solicitors address.*****0 -
