What is your business ?

I've just started my own bookkeeping business, so imagine how I felt when I read a thread about starting your own business and peolpe suggested saving money by doing the books themselves !
Its true you can do your own books, but its not always something peole enjoy doing, and having someone else doing your books means you can devote more time in other areas of your business ( at least I hope thats the case otherwise I'm doomed already :rotfl: ) !

I am a self employed text chat operator, which helps to pay the bills and allow me to start is building up my handmade jewellery and beaded gifts business, have just launched my website and opened my online shop at one of these website trading places that allows craft people to sell their goods.

I have been asked to remove the link to the website as it has been classed as advertising, I stress that it is not my personal site, but a site a lot like a certain auction site, but is for handmade products.

I am just setting up a small business selling designer photographic cards, altered art for gifts, and jewellery. I am really excited about it. I have my online shop which i am in the process of setting up, and am looking for other outlets as we speak.

I was made redundant almost 2 months ago now and have had no luck looking for suitable work. This thread has been really inspirational as I'm now considering self employment. Pity noone has posted since 2008 as it would be good to know which of these businesses are still going strong?

I run a discounted wedding gown business and have nearly reached our first birthday! Its the best move I ever made, I absolutely love going to work

I run a bear building party business, started a couple of months ago and am going down a storm at all the fairs over the Summer. Learnt a lot from chatting to other traders too!
