no they don't always give you a £2 card. I've never received one.

Yep i've found this aswell, i've had a few gift cards off them but the last one was probably 1/2 years ago, even though I have been overcharged a few times since. When I was being given them it was a bit hit and miss depending on the staff member who dealt with me.

I have a vague recollection that they might have introduced a minimum amount of overcharge before gift cards were issued and in many cases it wouldn't be given to you automatically and you would have to specifically ask for it. I have no idea where I would have heard or read about this but something along these lines rings a bell with me.

I got a gift card yesterday. I got some asda peanut butter, the sel said was £1.23 now £1, and was charged the £1.23

Got the .23p back and asked for a gift card.

Last week got 3 bottles of frjji milk shakes on offer for .50p. Well 1 went through at .50p and the other 2 at £1. He tried to say the ones at £1 were on the wrong shelf in the fridge but I argued how can that be true when there was at least 50 of each flavour there. So got my gift card.

Was told a few weeks ago, if the item is on the reduced shelf and your overcharged (as happened to me) he won't give a gift card.

Best to ask for it as they rarely offer a gift card.

i always sweetly say 'oh arent you doing the gift card's any more' if i dont get given one.

usually i get the reply yes - i was just getting you one......um yes thats why you just said bye, lol!!

but i find it the least embarrassing and least confrontational way of asking for it if i dont get it.

Wow. Well done all of you and keep up the posts. I get so excited reading about all the bargains you find. I've never found a single one mind. I've even done a massive shopping list and spent ages looking, but to no avail.

Hope you all keep finding all these bargains and keep posting. Who knows maybe one day I will find some too! Woooo.
