Don't know if this will amuse the NP. I am now getting in to the Asda price match glitch but today with our rather currious and definitely slightly chaavy trolley in Asda (crisps, sweets, chocolate ceral, ready meals etc) we bumped in to a couple who happen to teach DD1 (him) and DD2 (her). Put it this way, would rather have bumped in to them in Sains tomorrow with our trolley full of fruit and veg and cook from scratch meat.
    I think....

You always let someone see someone you don't want to, when you're doing something that you'd rather they didn't

At least you have an excuse Mr super shopper. Why didn't you say something? You'll know it's really serious if they put your kids on free school meals;).

We have four ordinary fluorescent fittings in our kitchen. This will upset some folk, I fear, but it probably conforms to Silvercar's view of me. They look like this:

They work really well, but we have 8x40w tubes, which is not very MSE, and they are not very elegant.

GDB, what do you think my view of you is?

I go away for one day and come back to pages and pages to catch up on.

The house is very quiet. DS2 has been deposited at uni. DS1's gear has been brought home from uni, minus DS1 who is completing his dissertation then making his own way home. So I have his washing.

You should have just winked and said "shhh, you haven't seen me .... I'm doing an undercover piece for a money magazine...."

Happy New Year to the Jewish NPs. How will you be celebrating?

I'll have the evening off, whilst DW and DD go to synagogue. There's the traditional blowing of the ram's horn.

We'll have a slightly festive meal, including apple dipped in honey and honey cake that DW has already baked.
