The V&A is my least favourite museum ever - just a bunch of people's furniture, half of which was just replica!

The best museum in the world is the archaeology museum in Bruges. It was so bad that it was hilarious. Best 2 euros I ever spent.

I went out last night! Mum and dad took pity on me and lovveerrrr not having time to ourselves and said they would look after the boys so we could go to a gig.

I had an absolutely brilliant time! Ok, had a little too much alcohol but I felt so alive, so in this world rather than feeling like I am on the outside looking in and the band were just brilliant and friendly (think it may have been something to do with the bass guitarist also having to be the chief drum kit mover too as his son is the drummer with the band, so we had something in common).

Best thing of the night was people not believing I could have a near 19 year old son, they thought I was too young and were gobsmacked when James joined us on the balcony (they all knew him) and realised that this was the son I had been talking about....they all thought I was early 30's!

It was a little strange being out in the same pub as my son, even weirder as he was wearing my old bikers leather jacket which alas no longer fits me but fits him like a glove...I got that jacket 24 years ago in exchange for a Donnington ticket and travel to Donnington from a mate who didn't have the money to pay for the ticket. Goodness knows how old that jacket is as he had it for years before we swapped but had outgrown it.

My only problem now is I want to do it again...
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Wanting to do it again isn't the problem. Wanting to do it again is good and right and healthy. The practicalities of doing it again are the problem, but I'm confident that you'll find ways round them somehow, even if not as frequently as you'd like.

Oh, and you're not the only person who wants you to do it again. The whole community of NP want you to do it again... :)

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

    Not a spoiler miss k.

The beginning of every strictly season either dh or i say he should learn to dance and i should learn to ballroom dance. We never do.

I was saying this evening dh should do a week day evening class in london, and hje looked at me and said 'you wouldn't mind?'. And i said no.. Should I mind?seems odd to me. If anyone considering making a move is likely to be put off dh him trying to dance would probably do it.

Should you mind? Not if you don't feel that you mind. After all, fir seems to be a trustworthy sort of bloke and appears to be obviously delightfully besotted about you. :) And all that is being suggested is a few lessons, where he'll probably dance with a variety of people, none of whom can dance particularly well.

Now, if he was suggesting getting into serious competition level dancing, where you have a regular partner with whom you train for hours every week, and/or if he was what my barrister described as "a serial philanderer" (cool phrase!), then you probably would be wise to mind.

Well, that's my humble opinion, anyway, speaking as someone who has been cheated on, and whose brother is a serious (but still amateur) competition ballroom dancer. My brother ended up marrying his long term dance partner, but in their case it was fine because they were both single and free to do so.

Yep, i feel like that. Tbh. Would not mind if he started competiotion damcing either. While i appreciate dancing in couple is different to anything i have done, i have worked in close physical proximity with people, including in dramatic arts and ohysical contact......didn't mean i felt attracted to them...or in any 'real' way if i were. However, dh is a bit more sincere than I and might find the distinction harder to draw. Any way, i would not mind what we are proposing, and am glad you saw this to reply to lydia, your perspective as a wife and a sister both is valuable here. Thank you!

    What a week!

My new studio is nearly ready, and the fish tank (not been filled yet) is now fitted around my office, going across 3 floors. We've got 2/6 studios in, and I'm being given a date of mid-Dec for everything to be finished.

We're already at double the budget, and hopefully when the complex is complete, leaving half of our bought/rented stock to be handed back/sold, I should see some financial benefit. All I see at the moment is 30-odd cars that need replacing, and the money having been spent elsewhere!

Running everything from 9 sites in the NW/SE area will be so much easier than the 14 site system we have dotted around London at the moment. There's space for another 10 studios if we need to re-locate the entire events team (which we'll be looking at doing in probably 2-3 years, when leases are due for renewal).

The girl I took in for work experience for 3 weeks over the summer died earlier today. I'd be grateful if you could like this please. I didn't start it, and I don't know who did.

For us Hertfordshire people, there's a car show at St Marys Catholic College in Bishop's Stortford from 11 to 5 tomorrow. I'm on dealer duty, so will be seen walking around in a hi-vis.

I'm going for a bath then to bed, it's been a long week!

Best 2 euros I ever spent.

Best 5 euros I ever spent was on a bottle on vodka in Bulgaria.....made my evenings reasonably cheap and encouraged me to meet the locals (and brought 6 bottles back with me; it was 50% stuff)
