Phew!
On a subject we have discussed a long time ago, Dwell have lights made from inverted glass bottles. I recall you looking for something similar a while back.

Totally oddly, dh and i saw the wine glass one at the garden centre last week! Dh liked it a lot. I am still not sure. I am panicking a little we have under provided for lighting in the kitchen, most of it being the pendants (three over the work surface) and then some lights on top of the beams for 'extra' or lesser light (leds on two separate switches so we can have all of them on or just the one on the back wall if we want candle light.
The architech has talked us out of candlelit chandeliers as the overhead lighting, so i am on the prowl for some old sconces for the walls and beeswax candles, and then maybe stome lantern type things for other extra lighting. We have also space for a table lamp.
Its amazing to see the wires now, its like the veins and arteries of the place going in. And the plumber is here.
I cannot believe this is our first fix moment, like on grand designs.:D:T0 -

Recently it has changed. I don't think money was discussed as much back then and personally I would like to see it discussed less here as it is not at the core of the NPT (given that the national currency is not mushrooms).
Just to say I also feel like this. Although a relative newbie to the thread, I've read the House Prices board since before the 'Debate' ghetto was spun-off. I liked the NPT as it was a place for like minded people who also read/ posted on the board to chat away from all the 'my house is bigger than your house' and 'prices will only ever go up in Aberdeen' stuff on the rest of the board.0 -

I know. I generally prefer 'real' fibre, but fleece getys me through winter. I really do wear my fleece pj bottoms as trousers, then as an under layer (between tracksuit and long johns). Fleece is almost always dry by morning.0 -

Ah, I'll hold my hand up, then. As an excuse, I'll just say that I did not know who else to ask about supporting kids at uni. It's just such a long time since I was there.
Anyway, please don't leave on my account, LIR.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
ohhhhh,....stroganoff!!!! I might go and get the fixings for that. We should really be eating the glut of beans and courgettes (I have a courgette glut, yay!). but I might freeze as much as I can. I'm getting to the point of having had enough. we have fresh sweetcorn to pick as well.
Anyone know if I can shuck sweetcorn and freeze it raw?
I'm guessing shucking is getting the kernels off the cob (should really have asked google first)? We have frozen whole cobs with no problems at all, so I can't see why not.

or i can just use a sharp knife

Imo, funding children is slightly different. It covered what we expect from this period of their lives, our responsibilty to them, how they and their parents adjust and reality v perception of money. Its within remit as far as i am concerned. Until it becomes a ' i paid more for mine that you do ergo i am the better parent' or some such.0
