I just plan to keep the current car a very long time so the mileage will get high eventually.
I have been following the paralympics closely, some great results so far.
Also 10/10 for channel 4, one for the level of coverage but also there explanations of things.
Do like the last leg too, not taking things to seriously.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

So £1170 to last from mid Sept to mid Jan.
That's about half my basic (pre-dividend) company income SC.
We manage to live on £16,210 a year with a massive house and 2 children (not taking company expenses into account, and not taking the holiday into account, so nearer to a student lifestyle), and there's no reason why he shouldn't too! OH's car insurance and her £90/week of diesel is included in that calculation, so it's about the same. I bank about 90% of the dividend payments now, so we're restricting ourselves to regenerating profits and taking that tax-free.
The trick of it is getting them not to go mental.

The mrs spends about £16,210 a week. It's all I can do to get a pint in before the Amex runs dry.0

Well CK how does she drive? How far you going for a spin today?
Ended up staying in myself last night, was quite tired and I'm saving. So at £3,040 right now...on track for the £10k by year end. Away to service my van myself today, bit less stressful than going to one of my own jobs. Also need to give it a good clean inside and out. What's everyone else upto today?
Living on £16k a year with a mortgage sounds hard...especially with a gf like mine!:eek:Living frugally at 24

Some serious stuff for. Saturday morning.
Imo the nice people thread temperature has changed. I have been considering taking a break, particularly as after next week i should be feeling better and hopefully been doing more. But some of you have been chums and confidantes for years now, and just walking out without explanation is a bit unfair on what in some cases have also become real life friends.
I have been mulling this over and it was almost a relief to find i am not the only person who feels this way, something i had sensed might be the case from previous private communication with a few people where i have voiced concerns and not been met as a suspicious old bag.
I don't really know what i am trying to say here apart from, well, some of you have my email, so if i do decide to !!!!!! off disappear i hope those, and some others stay in touch. I of course, might not go....and this might all be somewhat premature, but, atm i feel like i am getting closer and closer to feeling two faced and duplicitous as i become more and more uncomfortable with some things round here.0 -

I am meeting a friend for lunch, will take the dog for a swim (his favourite past-time) and cook dinner. Anything else will be a bonus.
Mr S is home this weekend and is off doing a 2 day powerboat RYA course. We are off on holiday in a week or so and will hire a boat whilst there for a day, and neither of us felt the 'limited' instruction we would get would make us feel safe.
This 2 days was £300 and I am not fit enough to do the course instead - so I hope his ribs can bear the strain.
Some of his work kit is high end sailing wet weather gear emblazoned with his name and a logo - so he is in danger of looking professional beyond his novice ability - so he has dressed it down with his chamaeu wellies, cycling gloves and tennis ruck sack. Managed to make himself look quite a mess actually.
I have been a perfect wife and made him a packed lunch :A0 -

I hope I haven't offended.
TBH I'm confused. and upset that I could lose a virtual friend for a reason I don't understand. and bewildered that I haven't picked up a vibe that others have seen/ felt.
But maybe I've been wrapped up in a sea of bereavement and haven't noticed stuff.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
