Ouch - was that after she had made you confirm you had none...lady needs help me thinks.

We would be honoured to introduce DKs to you. I don't know why but I am not an animal person but DKs do like it when we visit them and it is good for them to spend time with dogs as DW is frightened of them and so I have to spend a lot of energy explaining to kids that actually they are not frightening and that high pitched screaming and running away are probably not the best thing to do.

Chewie, make these words in to a sentence : trolls The feed don't

Was just speaking to Daily Mail again. They wanted to know DWs age. I had to explain about 3 times that it was more than my life is worth to reveal this. They couldn't understand that a lady might not want her age printed in the paper, which got me to wondering. Do you think most people when confronted with a reporter can't help but answer all the questions asked?

I would reveal age personally. Not bothered much, though have gone from looking young for age to looking old for age....when i an older i might add a few years on, so i can have everyone think i look good for my age again :p

Re kids.....big dog is fine with kids who run and scream, dog dog would not be so cool.....and might try to join in, leading to a viscipus circle which never ends when when animals and kids are concerned.

Something that always surprises me is when parents do not teach children to ask if they may stroke someone elses dog instead of just touching it, or grabbing it. I have thought about getting dog dog a tabard saying, 'do not pet me' because in crowds she does not like people to touch her without being introduced, ( i put a soft muzzle on her if we go somewhere crowded, i don't think i need to, but i do not want to be wrong) She is very gentle when approached correctly, but i would NEVER trust her alone with children (unlike big dog, who is not to be teusted with chickens or cats but could baby sit children ).

Eit: yes tha was after we seemed to have established i have a non fruiting womb.

My boys learnt from a very young age not to pet dogs without asking mainly because a neighbour had an alsation and a rottweiler. Now that sounds scary but the rottie was so daft and so protective of children (especially middle son) it was unbelievable...but we still made them aware that some dogs just do not like to be petted.

It was so sad when the rottie got older and was having troubles with arthritis, he would nose a ball to you so he could play football with you but you knew that playing football would cause him too much pain, so we would have to resist and play a much gentler game of pass the ball..he found that very boring and wanted to do the whole jumping up and down, running around thing.

He was great at road sense too, if any of the boys were getting too near to the road on the pavement, he would step in front of them to stop them going any further. Mind you, try to enter my neighbour's house without being allowed to and he would rip you to shreds, if you had to enter (for example, if the neighbour was ill and couldn't get out of bed to let you in), you had to shout out the neighbour's name and the dog's name and he was perfectly fine.

We've had a nothing doing day today, lovely after the last two days of rushing around and going everywhere.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Do they know your age? I always notice that the females in a newspaper article (no matter which paper, or the subject) have their age stated very early on. Often there is no mention of the male's age, or it is much later in the article.

I'm happy to share my age. DW is a very private person (cultural?) but likes the DKs to be in the media...

    Me too.

Especially if I am sharing it with someone aged about 25 and they are happy to share theirs with me

Doesn't sound to bad to me at all. You earn well because you put hours in.....six hours in three days aint bad at all imo.

That said we are LOVING dh having had four and a half days off....no emails, no phone calls, like a proper person work ended when the work day ended last week. its really restful...though a bit weird.

We have decided to book a holiday before things go back to normal, because we will probably actually get it. We are a little torn between two places though, so not sure which to go for yet. :D
