People are weird.
:eek::eek::eek:
That's amazing. It would be funny except that I imagine it must be painful.
Beats my favourite idiotic question from the legal secretary who asked me if LNE and I had got divorced since he died.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Wow! The Red Arrows just flew over our house in formation! Didn't expect that!
They could easily have flown over my house too.
Wouldn't have seen them though, as the cloud cover is about 3 feet above my chimney 'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -
- Tom Jones. Good voice, quite static (probably too old to move around.
- Robbie Williams. Totally ruined Mack the Knife, awful.
- Shirley Bassey. Nice. I thought she was singing a bit too low key though. but maybe that's just me.
- Kylie. Rubbish. Nice legs though.
- That opera couple on the balcony. Not my cup of tea, but ok I suppose
- Madness. Great performance and loved the projections on the palace.
- Stevie Wonder : Sounded quite squeaky.
- Elton John : Out of tune, but nobody cares, good showman.
- Paul Mc : Bad.
Tom Jones was the only one of the old codgers who seems to have accepted that he is old.
He sings within himself, and as he knows he can't sing Delilah like he did in the old days, he has it rearranged and sings it like he can now.
Poor old Cliff, Elton and Macca. They are old, and it showed 'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -

Oh dear, thats ridiculous!
You, know, it wasn't so painful today. The person asking me had three or tour....i couldn't tell as they were all moving arpund very quickly and appeared to be identical though one is fifteen and male and another on i would guess three years or so younger and female. Person was also extremely grumpy an i couldn 't help wonderring if it wouldn't be worse to have ones you don't like very much
Any way, i was cross and a bit embarrassed rather than hurt.0 -

Absolutely.. I might borrow one of yours next tine... I have feeling that a beautiful kid that looked like yours might be more objectionable than being barren. ( although perhaps that is unfair of me, nothing such was said nor anything from which i can fairly draw that inference ) Incidentally, she also told me she had a mare shot because it was barren. Can you tell i didn't like her much!:D

Ouch - was that after she had made you confirm you had none...lady needs help me thinks.
We would be honoured to introduce DKs to you. I don't know why but I am not an animal person but DKs do like it when we visit them and it is good for them to spend time with dogs as DW is frightened of them and so I have to spend a lot of energy explaining to kids that actually they are not frightening and that high pitched screaming and running away are probably not the best thing to do.

Was just speaking to Daily Mail again. They wanted to know DWs age. I had to explain about 3 times that it was more than my life is worth to reveal this. They couldn't understand that a lady might not want her age printed in the paper, which got me to wondering. Do you think most people when confronted with a reporter can't help but answer all the questions asked?lostinrates wrote: »Absolutely.. I might borrow one of yours next tine...
