Congratulations Missk.....as someone who has recently had a new neice, it's great isn't it!

We were round there at the weekend and I got to hold her for ages (the baby not Missk!) plus feed and burp her, it was absolutely wonderful and the most maternal I have felt for ages. It was also quite strange, despite her being teeny weeny, I had no fear what so ever.

However, I drew the line at doing nappy changing......I absolutely refuse to do that.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Thanks. Will get time to reply properly later this evening.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

Answer seems to be either of:
    1) take a standard bulb and a pair of pliers/clippers/hacksaw and cut off one of the pins
    2) use the pliers to bend the fitting so you can fit a 2 pin in as per the comment in your linked post

Even if you have to buy a pair of pliers this seems to be both cheaper and much more widely available.
And very dangerous advice when given to somebody utterly incompetent in these matters and scared. I've also read that there can be arcing and fire insurance etc might be invalidated.

Rule 1: Don't touch what you really don't understand ... and are petrified of.

Was just speaking to Daily Mail again. They wanted to know DWs age.
They'll have already looked up the value of your house as that's a feature in everything the DM write.... Mr W (aged X) and Mrs W (aged Y) at their £XXX,XXX house .....

And they still wrote asking why the DD for his policy wasn't being paid. Err, perhaps that weould be because a dead man doesn't need insurance on a written-off car.
I'll try to get my post clear ... but excuse me if I ferk it up ... you can tell if I ferk it up because you'll feel offended... so here goes.

I think there's something about insurances that you still have to pay the policy in full. If he'd paid it all on day 1 you'd not get a refund because I THINK that policies finish when there's a big payout. I think, I could be wrong, that many companies will insure you from day 1 until you have a write off - then that policy's finished and you have to re-insure yourself to continue.

I hope that makes sense..... and it might not be all insurance companies, but I have heard of this before.

So it might be that that is what their policy means/states and it's not a situation you've encountered before as most people don't have big accidents.

I've mentioned it so you could check, rather than instantly automatically getting shirty with them, only to waste time/energy until the detail of the policy is made clear/er.

Mad rush today, had made arrangements for a domestic appliance to be moved across the county - and I hadn't heard, so phoned the guy ... and suddenly it was "all happening, NOW"... which wasn't the agreed plan at all. What had happened is that in the meantime he'd agreed a friend could have his van for the afternoon and our arrangement had gone right out of the window and he'd not said a thing to me!!! That's the trouble - you make arrangements, that are essential/critical timing ... and you get let down.

So, literally had to drop everything and dash out to get that sorted/paid for.

Then I went to a small fishing village ... took some snaps, but the weather wasn't good for snaps as it was overcast and sometimes drizzling.... and there were a LOT of people getting in the ferkin way. I like to take photos without random strangers in them.

I am getting the 'purge' on my skin the clarisonic reviews warn about. Yuck. In general i am really pleased though, my skin feels very different (not just my impression, dh can feel it) and i think looks better. Also, lots of reviews said they were using less product as a result which i presumed was guff, but i noticed tonight i am using less than half my estee lauder skin repair and having plenty. That stuff lasts for ages any way, so i feel a bit worried i might not finish a bottle before it goes off!
