woo! finally down from 15+ minutes to 13. just 13 more minutes* until i find out i have no tickets again.

    * = not strictly trues as earlier it was doing this and went down to 11 then back up to 14 where it stayed for about half an hour.

edit: it has fluctuated wildly between 8 and 14 for the last few minutes. currently it is saying 13... i know no-one cares or is interested. just killing the longest 13 minutes since...the last time i tried to get tickets half an hour ago.

    edit:kaboom no tickets

How about a bit of house-hunting to while away the time here:) am desp to check out some houses.
I can't afford the ones you'd all be picking .... and that'd be mean :)

On Thursday nights in August there's a BBQ and firework party at S'banks.... which I had the pleasure of seeing in its entirety without having to actually go outside or make any effort. The armchair in the living room, with the curtains open gave a full on ringside seat. It went on for AAAAGES. Probably one of the biggest firework displays I've seen.

If it's warm next Thursday I might shuffle along the beach and see what's actually going on.

nope. it went straight from 5 minutes to "no tickets".

back at 15 mins for different stuff now. but i don't know why i bother because i am not paying £725 for a ticket, even if it does offer the best view ever of the mens 100m final.

Best view ever's from your armchair, with a beer and pizza... watching the telly with its instant replays, slow-mo, discussion, opinions ... and another instant replay.... along with all the stats comparing it with past people/events/speeds/times etc.

    :)

It's one of the most user-hostile sites (and I've seen a few). :(

Not that you can tell straight away but it's barely fit for purpose.

Not quite the advert for the London games that it should be.
