Bit of an overcast day today, some black clouds, bits of rain .... so I'm off to check out another storage unit. Need to see all those within 2 miles of my next move, so I can assess the cheapest/best value for money. This one's 2 miles, but £96/month; or there's the 1 mile/£125/month .... so then it's all down to ambience, quality and staff not grunting.... and that "feeling" of whether something's right or not.

did you get them through the official site?
it's really annoying me - sessions showing up as available when they are blatantly not. men's weightlifting this evening has showed up on there today - but no tickets are really available. all the stuff that was on there yesterday and wasn't available is still sitting there, not being available (but pretending that it is).

Sorry, disappeared yesterday to travel for the weightlifting.
    Fabulous. :j
Saw 2 world records. Injury and intrigue. Stupendous atmosphere that built and built to a crescendo for the world records. :D

Yes. Official site for 2 "B" tickets for £185 each I think they were for the boxing. Collected them yesterday before our weightlifting. No probs.

It was very different to archery. For one thing I think if they cranked up the volume while shooting things a lot of arrows would have been off target. Also, audience members didn't shout "phwoar, look at the **** on that" at archery. Archery also didn't have a conga line or Mexican wave. Nor did archery have a mass cheer of "Wiggo, Wiggo, Wiggo...".

I liked archery though. Beach volleyball was fun. I'd argue its the best Olympics event for people with ADHD, because if you couldn't pay attention to what was going on in the match, there was always some form of other stimulus going on. Constantly. For four hours. The view was also breathtaking.

    Sounds fab.

Have been on the internet for the past 50 minutes trying to get tix. Have managed to get a single ticket for closing ceremony. Have told DH he can go so he has the full set. I am a nice wife.

There are tix still available (poss not for closing) for people willing to persist.

Simply put this is the key. Many times we get to the end to find the tickets gone. It's a constantly changing picture. Keep trying and you can get there.

    Another Olympic ticket whinge.

Having had the same miserable experience that others have mentioned trying to buy tickets that are advertised but not there when you 'request' them on previous attempts, I am at present having another go.

I have requested 4 tickets for athletics on Saturday about an hour ago. This time I had a new message it said there was a waiting time to search of 15 minutes...a bit later my place in the queue had moved to 12 minutes....almost an hour later it still says 12 minutes, and that i must not refresh or 'go back' or i will lose the request. Mr S has gone to bed, the dog has gone to bed (and is looking at me in his "put the light out will you" way) and I am paralysed by indecision...am I throwing away a once in a lifetime opportunity to go to the Olympics if i give up or acknowledging that life is too short to queue/sit in a 'hangng' technology.

Just checked and it still says 12 minutes:(

    NP wisdom welcome.

Hmmm. Have to confess I've never seen a waiting time over 3 mins but I've never tried to order more than 2 tickets. Suspect it must be much harder to get hold of "bigger blocks"

Only drawback with UK car is overtaking trucks on a 2x1 lane road with Mrs. Wheezy being co-pilot.

Get her to hold a mirror out of the passenger window, at the correct angle to can see all you need to see and make the decision yourself.

    Easy !!! :)

N.B. I have never used this method, and any injuries or accidents you may suffer will be your own fault for following this stupid piece of "advice". Your Insurance may not cover you for such insanity.

You'd have more fun if you spent the time/money on a bl00dy canoe and headed for the river/lake/sea....
