Its of reasonable worth and onsiderable bulk, it would cost us a fair bit to get rid of. BUT we need that space. What would the nice people do?
So, it was something like a six months let, which has morphed into 15 months, and no more meat has arrived. And I am guessing that there is no documentary evidence, and you haven't declared the meat on your tax return? (Just kidding.)
When you gave the owner the deadline, did you do that in writing? You have to stop telephoning and start writing.
As to the law, this is obviously not DH's area, but surely he has the resources to find out? (He's a corporate lawyer, I believe?)
I think you have become 'involuntary bailees' and have to comply with the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977. http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1977/32/pdfs/ukpga_19770032_en.pdf
Have a look at Schedule 1, or rather get DH to do so.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Doctors children and all that, GDb :rotfl:
Will show this to dh. Actually, yes, it was declared on tax. No issue over this, it was to my future benefit to show it as a business gain.
Yeah, I agree, it has to go in writing now. Better find out the address.0 -

And us. We declare a pig (in joint, chop and sausage form, obviously!)
I've forgotten what we say it's worth.
Then there's the 4 Toyotas* of logs.......;)
*The Toyota pick up is the usual method of delivery here. A Toyota's worth is about £65.0 -

Tell them to put it back, it'll be needed tomorrow!
In other news, I see the student who joined the Indian athletes in the opening ceremony has been apologising for this moment of [STRIKE]publicity[/STRIKE] madness.;)
Personally, I think the world's media missed the main story by focusing on her. If you look at the stills, there's huge bottle of Vicks Nasal Spray sticking out of the sari worn by the woman behind her....0 -
Have you all seen the UFO footage from the opening ceremony fireworks?
