Oh, and on nails, remember my cat scartched nail that silver ar helped me with? The hole in the nail has just grown out, but the base of the nail, where it comes out from is not a oval shape any more but like } which looks a bit odd but i can live with that.
I described my new colour scheme to a woman in the farrow and ball shop today while i bought a bright green to add to is, and looked at elephants breath to paint over the brick. I think she was horrified.
Doozer girl and lydia can attest to the real feature in my little georgian sitting room beng a charming set of by fold doors from the seventies. If i had told them that in the fareow and ball shop i might have got put out:)0 -
Glad the hairdressers was a success lir
It always takes me ages to find a new hairdresser when I move. I don't think I've ever got over the 'how much?!' from my mum the first time I arranged my own haircut, so I don't like key spending a lot. Also I only ever really want the split ends chopped off on my annual visit, but whenever I've fine somewhere a bit pricier they don't seem to listen to what I've asked for. Now I'm back here I go with my parents to the lady who has cut their hair since I was at primary school ( at her house). It's kind of funny going for a family haircut!0 -

i hope you got a free glass of champagne thrown in for that price, otherwise you've been had.0 -

I hadn't ever heard of Farrow and Ball before I frequented the boards here. To me paint was Dulux and unbranded tins from the likes of B&Q.
I had NO IDEA there was stuff that was "posh paint".0 -

According to my Dad, Dulux is still quite posh paint. There's a lot of cheap own brand stuff apparently. But Farrow and Ball, well that is very posh indeed. As is the wallpaper brand favoured by Doozer. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Tbh, the colours are more limited. The real benefit is the soft chalky and very impractical finish and the fact that the posh paint shop register you as a client and remeber for you where you painted dead salmon and that yor downstairs loo is mouse's back, for touch ups etc. Also, for some reason i have yet to fathom, normally clashing colours seem to work together in this sift chalky finish.0 -

There are loads of them though, posh paints. Fired earth have a range, little greene, and even laura ashley, for the high street with big price tag market.
My split face tile sample arrived today, just the marble, they did not send the limestone. I love it. A lot. But i think i want limestone.
Eitherway, not sure how you make it waterproof, as they sit tightly on a mesh, like modern mosaic tile, but without a gap for grout. Hmmm, not sure that is a great idea.:(0
