On paper we *should* clear my loan in 8 months. Then that point we should have about £500 a month to throw at the £6k remaining. So we are looking at about 20 months. But hoping it may be sooner! This was going on a minimum of £200 a month.
Fingers crossed. We might be booking a Florida holiday next year for 2014 so would be great to be debt free next summer!
We'll do it! It'll be amazing to be debt free in less than 2 years. A Florida holiday would be something amazing to look forward too after the hard slog

We will do it!!!!!! :T:T:T:T:T
Have you got a goal for saving your £2 coins Choc?
I have £38 in my pot - desperate to get another to reach the £40 mark. I am saving mine for xmas presents. That plus surveys. Hoping to cover a few people! I am thinking of it in terms of people. My pot now covers my Niece and Nephew so far! I have about £90 on surveys so that covers my 5 siblings for £15 each and OH's Sister for £15!Orange Fairy

Funny enough I was just thinking about that and I am def going to use them for Christmas. It's a great way of saving for it without actually thinking about it!
I'm feeling really positive now I have a set goal and end in sight. Hoping to shave a few months off of it but if it's 18 months then i'm still happy with that.
Hubby on board and he's going to cut back a bit on things too so that we can build some savings along the way.
Things are on the up....I can feel it

I can only dream of being debt free, probably have to work until I'm 90 just to pay son's school fees.0

Evening diary,
Productive day, the downstairs is completely clutter free. Even the kitchen drawer (dumping ground) and cupboard under the stairs!!!
Tomorrow is the mammoth task of upstairs and perhaps even start on the loft. Hoping to find some ebayable stuff.
I am still so excited about my new debt free plan of action - roll on 18 months time!!!!! Woo hoo!!!!!0 -
The debt free plan of action sounds great and even better thats based on basic salary so you have the chance to beat it.
Hope the clearing is going ok.0 -
Very productive weekend - lots of clearing and sorting done. Day off this today so am going to continue and get this house tip top, including the loft!!
Batched cooked chilli and chicken curry for hubby to take for lunches this week. He prefers hot food which is good for me as less messing around in the mornings if I don't make sarnies
Literally can not wait for pay day on Friday so I can embark on my debt free plan.....means after all payments gone out it's only 17 months until I am debt free. Wow wee
:D:D
Hope everyone had lovely weekends, despite the rain. I really need to get out and cut the lawn but it's just not happening.

Even though i dont like time flying by too quickly i am thinking - after the over payments this month we will only have 7 months (hopefully) left with the loan!

That's amazing Kel, you'll be there in no time and imagine the difference not having it will make
