Hey there,
Been awol this week but for good reason. We've a puppy
We were given a nice amount of money from people as wedding gifts and decided that we would buy a puppy with this money. We've wanted one for ages and now is a good time.
So we now have a gorgeous springer spaniel called Tizzy. She's nearly 17wks old and very much a handful but I love a challenge! We rescued her from household that couldn't cope with her and she came with everything including food, next few flea/worm treatments etc so our only outlay was the cost of the dog (lower as not a puppy) and a couple of soft toys we couldn't resit!
Needless to say with working and puppy I haven't had the time to post.
Money wise it's tight but all good - i'm currently working overtime so some more pennies being built up for Aug payday
Hope everyone is well and if any of you lovely people have dogs then training tips very much appreciated

Ok, hubby and I have been talking today and we need a "routine"
People that know me, know that I just don't do routine. I'm just not that kinda girl. However, having Tizzy means I have no choice as we need to establish routine for her to enable her to grow into a beautifully behaved dog
Watch this space people, a whole new world is about to open for me....yikes!!

So day 1 of routine begins - not sure how it's going to go but Tizzy needs regularity so got to be done. We've already been out for a walk this morning so off to a good start - will help with my exercise as i've cancelled my gym membership (:money:). Now need to find ways of exercising for free - dog walking is a good start

How exciting you having a new puppy
Hope she's being good and not causing too much mischeif. I remember when my mum first got her Springer and the energy she had was amazing lol!

Another wet miserable day here. Although pooch and I have had fun out walking in it - splashing in puddles and running through the woods like kids
Have been having brain storming sessions past day on ways to save/make more money. Hubby on board and we are going to sit down and work on it later this week. He's on late shifts at minute so not home until gone midnight.
Nothing exciting to report. Have taken overtime both Sat and Sun this week. Aiming to get my overtime up to 20 hours in total to put in for Aug payday. That'll be a nice tidy sum of extra money to throw at debts.
Hope everyone is well and having a good day x0 -

Hopefully walking her will help out with your doing more exersise.0 -
Just writing down some ideas for money saving/options.....
- go down to one car
- quidco - look at purchases (earn cashback)
- mobile tariffs
- utilities
- batch cooking
- ebay - find things to sell
- online shopping - no room for impulse buying - work out meal plans
- source best prices for cat and puppy food
- get bike ready for use - cycle to local shops etc no fuel and exercise
- Look at places such as £ shop, aldi etc as alternatives for shopping
prob think of other things to add....just getting it all out of my head for the moment0
