Some good ideas there Choc. Obviously the car will make the biggest difference if you can cope with just the 1. Logging my spends properly this month has shown me how quickly money disappears! Good luck xOrange Fairy

A spending diary I think is coming back into play for next payday - we seem to waste (or I think we do!) so much money.
The car isn't ideal as we're not located on any major bus routes and I work from home, OH shifts. We'll just have to be sensible and plan better.
Our second car (oldest) is starting to cost us money so I really don't think it's worth it. Better to scrap it and invest the money in saving, debts and maintaining our newer car.
Was speaking with friend last night and we both said lifes too short so sort the debts adn enjoy the rest of it and that's exactly what I intend to do

I am just waiting for hubby and dog to go out for the entire afternoon so I have a free house!
Feeling very positive at the minute. OH and I worked out a plan of action that'll see me debt free in 18 months!!!!!!!!!! That's based on basic salary so i'm now sat here wondering how sooner it could be with a bit of overtime and penny watching
:D:D
It's so nice to see it down on paper and will draw it up in neat this weekend to use as a motivational tool.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend xxx0 -
You will be there in no time

Thats great news Choc.
On paper we *should* clear my loan in 8 months. Then that point we should have about £500 a month to throw at the £6k remaining. So we are looking at about 20 months. But hoping it may be sooner! This was going on a minimum of £200 a month.
Fingers crossed. We might be booking a Florida holiday next year for 2014 so would be great to be debt free next summer!Orange Fairy
