Well I managed to save one of the games but the other will mean a new memory card
I have also relisted my car, this is the last time before I send it to the scrap man (£80)....
Good news :T Got my tax back, after paying rent I have £664.06 in my account... Now we did do our weekly shop yesterday (£14.64) so that leaves £649.42. After petrol (£40) I will transfer any odds over to my saving so thats £600 left, my bills are £277.05 which means I have £322 for my MOTMum says I should spend a bit of money on myself but I have a fear that if I do that I might not have enough for my MOT.
Now the only 'problem' I have is my windscreen has a chip/crack in it. It looks like a fail on the MOT. I can go though my insurance and it will cost £25 for a fill or £75 for a new window, but Auto Glass say the fill may not work, and my insurance company doen't use Auto Glass anywaysSo I need to phone my insurance to get that fixed I think, I don't want to put it through its MOT for it to fail just on that iyswim.
So thats me for now, will do an update on my weekly spends on Sunday. Next Friday I need to take home £197 as my target, I think I am ok for that right now0 -
Sunday's weekly spends update -
£23.73 - groceries
£35.72 - petrol
Spends so far this week -
£4.68 - caddy liners and groceries
I have been having extra work added to my rota over the past three days so my petrol is already down to half a tank. I am hoping it will last until Friday but time will tell... I haven't phoned my insurance yet, will do that tomorrow afternoon now because I am not out tomorrow night. Will need to buy some new shoes soon, my dominant foot now has no sole on the ball and the heal is cracked through, I also need some more socks, I am going to ekkk them both out as long as possible though. One thing I do need to buy this week is a new brace for my foot, I have worn the heel out of this one (about a month ago) and my foot has been getting worse over this time. Will report back once I have purchased it.
Have a great week all :T0 -
Make sure you buy the brace when you can.
At least the extra hours will help to pay for the shoes.

Got one today Beanie :j Well I will have to get them sooner than later now as the hole has grown from 5p to 2p in size and is now letting in water. I fear it maybe a weekend buy.
So I took £10 out of my account and spent it as so...
£1.00 milk for work
£2.00 gripper for Mum for after her op circa £5 online
£0.60 washing up liquid
£1.00 lotto haven't done it for over a year
£0.44 choc really naughty and I am paying the price
left over £4.96 saves
I also spent the following on my card...
£3.67 - fruit/veg
£7.09 - ankle brace will use the old one on none work days
All my bills have come out except my RAC bill which is just under £10. So after taking that out and the two above transactions my bank looked odd so £8.93 into saves :j That leaves £290 for my MOT, less than I expected but I did need my brace. We shall see what Friday's pay is. I need £197 (£67 for main bills) (£50 for insurance) (£80 rent and petrol) but we shall see.
Off to update my sig... :beer:0 -
Car sold on ebay for £290.xx which is great but there were two main bidders, the one who has won also bid on but didn't buy three other cars in May, so.... But the under bidder wants it, really wants it, he had been messaging me all week, his highest bid was £10 under the highest bid. So if the first sale falls through I am sure I have this one as a back up. Even if I offer it to the second bidder at a reduced price I am sure to get rid of it. My fees are £40 (this includes the last £10) so if it goes for £240 I will still have £200 for my saves/MOT. Unless my current car is in really bad condition I am sure £450+ will get it through its MOT.
Pay tomorrow is £294.53, that includes my petrol allowance. £97.53 over what I 'need' :T Will transfer the odds to my savings and the £90 will be put in the MOT pot. I have put some duck tape on my shoes in the hope they will last another week. If not I will get some over the weekend.0 -
So pay has gone in and I have transfered my rent. I did buy petrol yeasterday because there was no way it would have lasted until tonight. I had been given 2.5hr overtime today alone and they weren't exactly onroute
I also spent the following...
£35.62 - petrol
£16.92 - groceries - including washing powder/softner, dog treats and a cupcake book £2
£4.62 - greggs - opps but I was out 7am-5pm and I didn't have any b/fast and it included a cake for someone in work.
I also spent the £10 I hid upstairs for the MOT on a chip supper
Budget is...
£481.60 after all of above
£67 bill saves
£50 insurace saves
£4.60 signature saves,
= £360 for MOT :j
The car should be going on Sunday if not it will be offered to the under bidder. Time will tell but I will keep you updated
Have a great weekend all!0 -
Ok, I have been shopping, I was going to go and get my shoes but I decided to go to Game instead (still had credit on a store card) and then everything went out the window. Had a great time with my sister though and for once I don't really feel guilty :j
£4.60 paper chase - 3 pens for work (I have lost my multi coloured thing) and a present
£5.69 kfc
£2.93 game - the game I purchased is £7.99 +p&p on ebay so really pleased
£12.73 lush - coalface (I am down to my last tiny piece of this) and 3 bath bombs (one for my sister)
£7.77 hobby craft - more pencils, charcol and some paint
£5.07 aldi - stuff to make cakes :T
£0.00 - boots - pads but I used my points
That now leaves £321.21 in my bankNow I am relying heavily on the car going. But I don't feel guilty, only the bath bombs, pens and the hobby craft stuff was off plan which I don't think is too bad. I just don't think its possible to stick to a zero policy spending, at least I didn't go out and purchase something really expensive
Off to wash cars and bake cakes :j0 -

Been really busy and not had chance to update....
Sunday we went and purchased my shoes for work. It didn't help that I washed the cars wearing those shoes and putting rice in them and puting them in the airing cupboard didn't dry them out. I also purchased another game from ebay for pennys
£32.58 - shoes, socks, slipers for Mum in hospital and 6* windmill things for shoe boxes
£1.98 - game and p&p from ebay
So totals for this week, bit of a big one but at least I had the funds thanks to the tax man.
£35.62 - petrol
£37.41 Groceries/food
£19.82 - Lush and brace
£18.28 - Luxurys, Paperchase/Game/Hobbycraft/Lotto/ebay
£7.60 - Mum (gripper and washing liquid)
£27.58 - Shoes/socks/OCC
Good news is the car sold, bad news is it wasn't to the original buyer and I don't think I can get my FVF back. It sold for £260 so not too bad really. Even after the fees I still have over £200 for my MOT which was my aim.
So bank looks like...
Current -£168.98
£1.98 pay pal
£67.00 bills
£50.00 insurace
£20.00 eBay fees
Total -138.98
Left - £30.00
Now I know what you are thinking but I have transfered £220 plus odds over to my saves. The £220 is side lined for my MOT the rest will be for my sig saves. Next month ebay will want the remaining £20 fees but I am hoping to cover the cost of that with my pay check. So £220 + £260 = £480 for my MOT :j
This week so far has been NSD's and hopefully I won't need to fill my car up until Monday. Feel sad my first car has gone to a new home but I am glad now I have a substantial amount of savings for my MOT and I don't have to stress about that.0 -
