Thanks Beanie, I think we have decided that I will be putting the cash into my spare account weekly. Then once is gone its gone. Hopefully that will stop her asking for cash every day
Car is going well thanks, finally getting used to it. Need to work out the MPG but can't do that until it need refilling again. Fingers crossed its within my mileage I get back from work.
So this week I have given Mum £40 from her payment, That leaves only £40 to pay on Friday. I have also purchased my A-Z and spent £11.29 on groceries, most of this was replacing lunchbox stuff, shampoo and lady's items, it was all from Lidl/Aldi. So I 'need' £113.99 on Friday to cover my bills. I also need approx £40 for petrol and £10 phone credit = £163.99, fingers crossed.
Haven't heard anything back from my tax disc and although the car sold the buyer isn't making contact! I have given them a few days in which to respond and if they don't I will offer it to the next in line. I have put some change into my downstairs pig but will not add it to my sig until it makes its way upstairs.0 -
The car went wrong this week, so now have a garage bill to pay as well as my usual bills.
£394.05 after wages tomorrow
£317.05 bills
£100.00 garage
£40.00 petrol
£10.00 phone credit
£467.05 Total
-73.00
Thankfully I think Mum will be giving me £50 from her money she owes me so that would mean only £23 to find. Just going through the next few months and it appears I may not be able to make any savings for a while. I think my idea of saving within 9months was a bit 'pie in the sky' because I don't think it will ever happen. I am only just breaking even now each month because of the increased loan and insurance on the car.0 -

Hi SF and thanks Beanie.
So after a few hours worrying I have a plan of sorts! At least I am fine until the end of July. I am now dreading my MOT in August because I will have no way of paying it unless the old car gets collected or my income tax and road tax rebate comes through.
I hope you can read this?
Date - Income needed - Saves - Whats going out
22 £195 (£40 for 13th) (£75 for insurance) £80 out
29 £195 (£40 for 13th) (£75 for insurance) £80 + £150 out
6 £198 (£118.00 for 13th) £80 out
13 £160 £80 + £277.05 out
21 £197 (£67 for 11th) (£50 for insurance) £80 out
28 £197 (£67 for 11th) (£50 for insurance) £80 out
4 £197 (£67 for 11th) (£50 for insurance) £80 + £150 out
11 £177 £80 + £277.05 out
The £80 is £40 rent and £40 petrol each week, the £150 is my car insurance and £277.05 is my main bills. Now fingers crossed I get those hours/wages, if I don't then I have no chance of paying my min bills. I am now looking at what I could drop but I only have the dog/house insurance and BT which I could do anything about.

Feeling a little better today, I explained to Mum what trouble I am in and she has payed me £140 off the bill she owes me :j So the garage bill has been payed (£90 and £10 phone credit purchased) and I haven't payed her the remaining rent this month. The loan payment has gone out so the budget for the remainder of the month is -
£204.09 Avalible
£12.87 ~ House Insurance
£37.10 ~ BT
£22.08 ~ Dog Insurance
£10.00 ~ RAC
£40.00 petrol
=£122.05
= £82.04 remaining
So as you can see much better than yesterday and it also means I have a little bit of breathing space until MOT. I will transfer the £2.04 into savings and that leaves a whole £80 in my account until Friday that I will not touch as I think I will need it to bump up this weeks wages.0 -
Thats good Pap.

It wasn't really a 'talk' Beanie but it did the job!
I know I am supposed to be saving the £80 and I may regret it but today I spent quite a lot of pennysLong story short, I used to do a lot of art but sold all my supplies (except my pencils) to get out of debt/when I moved house. But it was my escape and the last few weeks with the stress of the cars/money the dark cloud was forming again. So I dug out my pencils and started doing stuff on printer paper, well that all ran out and apart from lined jotters I had no other paper. So £5.99 on a sketch book, £3.57 on coloured pencils and £2 on two drinks (someone forgot her filled bottle this morning). So £11.56 spent  Off plan and very naughty but I can't say I am not enjoying it.
I have also decided depending on how much I have saved towards the MOT by the end of July I will purchase some water colours and an aqua brush (approx £8) which will kit me out until christmas.
So I now have £68.44 left plus my £40 petrol. As I am not spending anything tomorrow here is my weekly round-up
£36.11 - Petrol.
£24.76 - Groceries/Food
£4.99 - A-Z
£5.99 - Sketch Book
£3.57 - Pencils
£10.00 - Phone Credit0 -
