Well its a bit cooler now and I dont feel like I am melting which is a bonus. Its the nights that are the worst. We live in a bit of a dodgy area so we cant have the windows open more than a crack
.
In more cheerful news, my Very total is now under £2000. Mt new statement is due on the 4th and there will be about £50 of interest added (Its not all interest free, just the things that I had on BNPL that I have paid off before they were added at the end of this month) but I am hoping I will be able to pay enough to it this week to keep it under £2k. If I can that only leaves me £600 to pay off over the next 2 months to hit £1400 by October when Uni starts, which actually doesnt sound too unmanageable.SPC #1813

That's good - the amount is coming down slowly and steadily
Well done on getting it below 2K.
I'm definitely glad it's cooler - I didn't mind the rain tbh or the clouds (although at weekends it's a bind when we wanted to do stuff) and while it's nice to see the sun it's great to be able to not bake!

Having kept a spending diary this month, we have now reached the end of it and I have £100 left over, which I have been able to pay off my debt. I think the diary has really helped me think about whether I need something that I am about to buy.
That means my total is now under £1900, I am so chuffed that its never going over £2000 again. My statement is due Saturday.
I am really happy as I am on course to get it down to the level I wanted it in October (£1400)
The weather has now turned horrid again, which means another day of being stuck in though

Hi LL
Hope you're okay, well done on keeping the spending diary for a month and having money left!!
It's a shame about the weather, I don't think we're going to get more than a few days of nice weather here & there

Well its statement day and my debt total is down to £1664.07 which is brilliant. I am so chuffed and I really think this diary has helped to keep me motivated, pushing me to pay off my debts.SPC #1813

Well, things have been going well just lately, and I have managed to get the balance of my account under £1400, which is what I wanted to achieve by the end of September so I am really chuffed. I have decided that I would really like to get it under £1200 now so that is my own mini challenge.
I have an interview tomorrow for a new job - if I get it it will be an extra £1500 a year so I am really hoping I get it. I havent had an interview for about 7 years so I am quite nervous.SPC #1813

Hi everyone,
Its been a couple of months since I have posted and things have been a bit of a rollercoaster.
My Eldest has had his appendix out, we have had to move house after the landlord sold the house were were in, have had new uniforms to buy and an expensive school trip to pay for, but I am back to the debt busting and still hoping to be debt free by 30 (with 5 months to go).
Been doing Christmas shopping for the children too, and doing really well with getting some bargains. The children are making their own presents for family this year so I have got all the bits for those too.
Have started at Uni and I am loving it, also moved jobs and am liking my new role.SPC #1813
