Listing a few things on ebay to make a bit of extra cash to pay off my debt.

Also made overpayments of £72.50 (above the minimum payment) so the balance has come down a bit more. Get my statement next Saturday so will be able to get a new balance and see how much I have paid off so far.

That's always good when you're able to make an overpayment. :) Sorry I haven't been about much but I'm still checking in to see how things are going. Good luck with ebay!

Well I havent posted in a few days but still been plodding on with my payments every day to chip away at my debt.

I start university on October 1st. The last week in September I am changing jobs within work which will mean a bit less money but less responsibility so I will be able to concentrate on my degree (which is part time so no bursaries or grants unfortunately).

Therefore in my head I want to get my minimum payment down to £100 a month. Last month it was £174 and this month its £157 so its getting there. I have to pay 7% of the balance as a minimum so I know that I need to get it down to £1400 by then. At the moment it stands at £2250 so it might be a bit hard going but I am going to try as hard as I can!

Just had my June statement and I have paid off a total of £303.85 after the interest was added so thats not too bad going! However I know the seix weeks holidays are coming up and they can be very expensive, leaving me less to pay off the debt.

My stuff on ebay sold well and after fees I have £55 which I am very happy with. Once that hits my account its an extra payment I can make.

2 weeks to go until the school holidays :j

Good to hear from you :) It sounds like the latter half of the year is going to be very exciting for you, with a new role and University. You're doing a great job in getting the payments down - keep it up. And you're right, not long til the summer holidays. :)

    You can do it!

    English.

Still been making daily payments to my debt, and its so close to being under £2000 now. I have started looking forward to the statements coming (so I can see how much I have paid off) rather than being filled with dread.

Still trying to get the debt down to under £1400 by 1st October.

Now the schools have finished its a bit manic in the house. Have been trying to keep the children busy without breaking the bank :rotfl:.

Morning - what a sticky night. It doesnt seem to have cooled down at all. I really hate the heat and if I could I would move somewhere cold, like Sweden or Norway!

Paid £46.50 to Very this morning, This means all the stuff on BNPL is paid off so I dont have to worry about any extra interest. It also means that there isnt going to be any more debits to the account, and its only going to go down! The balance was over £4k at the beginning of the year so I am nearly half way to it being gone.
