    Thank you very much :)

We are off to Belton House tomorrow - we have a National Trust membership so will get in for free and its only a bus ride away. The children love the playground there so will use up some energy. We are off on our Sun Holiday to Blue Dolphin next weekend so thats something else to look forward to, though more expense :undecided. Every penny I seem to spend at the moment makes me feel a bit guilty that its a penny not coming off my debts. However the children deserve to have a few treats and happy times so I am trying my hardest not to beat myself up about it. I suppose I should be happy about the shift in attitude though.

I feel exactly the same. For example, this week we have had a family meal out (£37.50) and a takeaway (£14.10) and I feel wretched that it's not £50 off our debts or at the very least a full week's shopping. On the positive side though, these were both for special occasions and a LOT cheaper than pre lightbulb moment meals or takeaways were (which happened on a weekly basis or even more regularly :o).
I also am trying to balance treating the kids like you are. At one point all I could think of was being debtfree and being able to take them on holidays abroad but then I realised that their lives weren't on hold just because I was in debt, and when they think of their childhood when they are older I want it stuffed full of happy memories. It's just that I need to be more mindfull of what we spend when we create these memories :D.

    You are doing great Xx

Thats exactly what I my heart is telling me, but my head wants to be sensible :D

Wow, just Bing-ed Belton House and it looks lovely! That's somewhere I wouldn't mind having a look around myself. Enjoy it, and I hope you have a lovely day. The occasional treat can be a real boost to the soul.

Keep up the good work :)

    Morning LL

Did you have a good time at Belton House? I went there once on a school trip and from what I can remember it was lovely. I remember the steps outside the front seemed massive.

The children love the massive play area - we spent three hours in there alone. Now they have built a smaller indoor play area in the cafe its lovely to sit down with a nice cuppa!

Havent posted in a while as have been really busy but not doing alot.

Still chipping away - at the moment it stands at just under £2400. I know it will increase when the interest is added but if I can keep it under £2500 I will be a happy bunny.

I have signed up to the 1 debt vs 100 days challenge with a total of £600 to pay off. It finishes on my Daughters birthday so I keep an eye on the 100th day getting nearer.
