    Hi
I'm currently on the old t-mobile £7.50 a month deal
    600 xnet mins
    Unlimited landline
    500 SMS
    3gb data
Just nearing my 2 yr on this deal and it's been great so far but I looking to move to Canada in the next few months so even though the t-mobile is a really good deal currently cost me around £8.50 a month
I don't really want to be paying for a contract if I not using it. My current contract has about 40 days left to run. Thing t-mobile only renewed the deal last year provided I signed a 12 month deal and I don't reall y want to go down that road again.
I was thinking of going down the ovivo route.
PS I use HulloMail on iPhone so my voice mails are just emailed to me
so if I try an ovivo would hopefully carry on with hullo provided the call forwarding to HulloMail as its a landline number.

    Any thoughts appreciated ............

This is what I'm on (including HulloMail), but like you say the £7.50 is now closer to £8.50, but IMHO it's still a good deal.

My renewal date is 11th Sept, but I'm sure you can do it 1 month beforehand which is today, so might phone them and see what they offer me and if it's not good I have a month to hunt out something new.

I've thought about https://www.ovivo.com and I have a data sim from them which I have in an old PAYG Vodafone Dongle (locked) and it works find, I'm in two minds to cut it down for my iPad, since the PAYG Three Sim runs out tomorrow or get a MiFi and use it in that, but then it's only a £5'er so could just order another.

Not sure what's best to do with my iPhone, I want to stick with the T-Mobile deal (if they offer it), but the Ovivo is a good deal, I can't see it lasting since IMO the business model won't work.....

I think for you if your off to Canada then cancel your T-Mobile and switch to either Ovivo or GiffGaff, GiffGaff will cost you a little more then T-Mobile but if it's only for a few months it will workout cheaper in the long run.

Edit: Just phone T-Mobile and was advised I could renew today, but they wouldn't match the:

    600 xnet mins
    Unlimited landline
    500 SMS
    3Gb Data

I was told when I renewed last time that I won't get the 3Gb of Data it's there Standard Unlimited Data deal (which is 500Mb Download limit).

    This time I was offered:

    600 xnet mins
    500 SMS
Plus 1 Booster (Unlimited Landline, Unlimited Data, T-Mobile to T-Mobile calls etc)

Wasn't sure what to do since she wasn't budging and told me I shouldn't of got the renewal I did last year, so was going for the 'OK if you won't match I'll leave' when she advised its £7.50, which is what I was paying before the VAT Increase and T-Mobile Price rise the other month.

    So I agreed to:

    600 xnet mins
    Unlimited Data
    500 SMS

I've never gone over the 600 mins even if the Unlimited Landlines were included and I don't use much data, so this is fine for what I need and it's cheaper than I've been paying for the last 12 months.

Same boat as you not sure what to do with the t-mobile deal if it's offered, I also have a 3 mobile broadband sim with 15gb it's about £16 a month and I'm out of contract so may try the ovivo data sim ( cut down to micro sim) and use it in my three unlocked mifi only thing is I'm not sure the 1gb limit will be enough.

I have a Vodafone PAYG Sim & an Ovivo Sim and have done speedtests with both and they are much of a muchness.

Now where I live the Vodafone 3G coverage isn't great so only get 1Mb at best, so weather there is a top end speed cape I can't tell here.

I have been using a Ovivo SIM in my iPad and so far I'm very happy with the service. I get diverted to the advert page about once every five minutes.

Speed is ok, about the same as the T Mobile SIM (PAYG) I used before.

Has anyone tried downloading the 'My Data Manager' recommended by ovivo to monitor data usage on an Android? When I go to the install page it fails when asking what type of device I intend to install the software on( HTC Hero btw).
Also have not got any adverts yet but I guess that is because I have only been browsing with the phone connected to my Wifi. I wonder if this could be a problem because the reason Ovivo only allow smartphones is because they want to be able to send adverts to it.

I think it would be fair to keep your side of the deal and at least let a few adverts load now and again by connecting to the network rather than just wifi all the time.
The adverts are easily skipped so no problems
It's not just about the money
